saving reading state

So if I buy a volume I can download the epub and any reader will track position fine.
But for streaming volumes and catch-up, does the website not store your last position? How is this supposed to work?
Sometimes it appears the website remembers what page within a part I'm on but nothing to indicate what chapter/parts I've read.
Am I missing something??

@Alifanfaron The web site does actually show you what parts you've read, but it's not obvious. You need to go to the series page and hover over a part at which point it will show you information around when that part was released and what your reader progress is set to on that part (what page you closed the reader on). The only thing would be if you had read the part and then scrolled back to the start of the part, it's going to record your reader position as 0% so the site would then appear as though you haven't read the part anymore.

I've noticed that if my device loses internet connection at some point or another, I can keep reading, but it wasn't tracked. So there is that case of not being tracked. Not sure if it can happen with the actual website, but it happens on my kindle and phone.

@Demonskid Well... you observed correctly; we can't track your reading progress if you have no connection in order for your device to send us your reading progress.
If you were to wait until you connect again, then it should send, but if you're reading then close the app or back out, then there's no new progress to send to our servers.

@jpwong 🙏 thanks!
I'm using an Android tablet so obviously mouse over is not an ideal UI, but I can hold down the link without following it and it shows the tooltip. 😅 Now that I know that's it's there it works well enough.
(The android app has some horrid text layout issues, so I'm sticking to the website).
