So I've noticed that it's no longer on the calendar and hasn't updated in a couple weeks....I'm sorry if i missed some sort of hiatus but is volume 12 not being translated by j-novel? I can't find any answer anywhere but I think it's up to volume 15 now...

        Hi,

There is no set date for when Volume 12 will start pre-publication on the site, at this time.

For a general overview of how new volume starts are handled at J-Novel Club. Please see the following topic, https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/3478/future-volume-release-schedule

        Thank you

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

@Rahul-Balaggan Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly! I was so used to seeing volumes back to back I took it for granted! Can't wait to see the next one :)

@PaperPrincessAi just so you know, JNC has never willingly stopped translating a series they have licensed, so as long as there are new volumes we will get them eventually, just sometimes it takes a while because of negotiations between the various parties

“There’s always a story. It’s all stories, really. The sun coming up every day is a story. Everything’s got a story in it. Change the story, change the world.” ― Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky

@Lily-Garden Makes sense! I was worried that something had happened with licensing or what have you

It is the downside to catching up close to the Japanese releases. When a new series comes in, we are all happy knowing that everything currently released is licensed (normally, I assume exceptions can happen). But once we catch up, we never know when or if a new book will get licensed or when the translator will be free again. We know that J-Novel wants to continue, but so many pieces to the eBook!
