UI / finding read issues
-
Hello,
I am following / reading / read a series, yet it doesnt show up in my use profile and I have to search for it in series and scroll down every time I want to keep up or check if a new chapter has come out. Is this just how the site is set up or am I missing something? Nothing shows on my user panel. Makes using the site really difficult for keeping up. Maybe the apps better?
Sorry if this is dumb. thanks.

@Tama-anon-h8x4qf1 Your profile only shows series that you have purchases books for. It may also show rentals, but I haven't rented any books yet. The following option only affects the calendar tab by putting an eyeball icon on the title. Unfortunately, the mini calendar release that shows the coming soon and recent on the homepage isn't affected by the following option. Also J-Novel Club releases so many parts so often that items on the coming soon and recent tabs will quickly scroll off as they only keep the 10 last entries.
The best way is to purchase one novel or manga of the series and it will then show up in your profile. You can then use the associated link to view the series and see which parts were released.
There are also options that show which volumes are purchased or unpurchased in the profile as well.

@morbelek if Ive purchased through amazon kindle or irl is it possible to show that? as is im thinking of cancelling as having to purchase the book after already paying to read it weekly just for easier utilization is kind of silly..

If you are following the series, there is a "Follow Status" filter on both the Series and Calendar webpages. On the app, you can press the star in the top right in the Releases screen to only show followed series, and on the Series screen you can filter in the top to show "Only Follows."

You need to purchase here if you want it reflected here that you own it.

As other said, use the calendar view for streaming stuff. That is the only place to see what you are following.
Personally, I use @Crimson-Wise's reader for reading the novels I follow. It cannot display Manga, but I still known when something is out in that interface. J-Novel tracks all the info, but have never updated their own website. The apps on iphone/android make use of the functions, but not the website.
