Walking the Second Path in My Life, Progress.

I've read I'll live my life on novelplanet, and really wanted to continue it. However I found out that this requires a subscription, I know it gets updated ~every week or so but I wanted to know how far it currently is before I buy a membership. On NovelPlanet, it ends with
I was wondering what "part" that was on so I have an idea on whether I should purchase a membership now or to wait a bit.

The newest part, which is 7, had the final fight, Queen versus Persil, and the resolution of it. The second volume doesn’t come out till March 1, and it should finish in the next couple weeks with part 10.
My advice would be to pay $5 to be a regular member for a month and see if you like it.

The second book is slated to be complete on Wed, Feb 7. I don't know how that compares to where you are since I quickly stopped reading after I realized you wrote spoilers (please use spoiler tags, seriously).

I noticed there might be some name changes because it’s a different translator, but it should be

@myskaros sorry, was writing on a tablet and the layout was acting weird, could have swore I added it (then again this post was my 2nd time trying it because I accedently deleted the other post without publishing it). It’s updated with the tag now.

@dburningfox Yes, it’s the North/East dorm tournament.

@legitpancake thank you very much, and Doug was Queen in the translation I read. As I said, based on the translator, there's a few name changes, most are minor. For example, Fie was Fii and that ninja guy had his name spelled with a K, not a C, but reading the non-member chapter, I realized they kept saying Queen for all the parts that I remembered involved Doug. I guess it's cause the original name didn't translate well which cause translators to create their own name.
-
@dburningfox It could also be that the original name was romanized badly, Queen is what the author intended and the Fan Translator mucked it up. Seen that more than one time, including when a WN gets a LN release and the name is written in multiple languages by art.
-
I've been following along in the author's original(?) web novel, and it goes way beyond the tournament. If I recall correctly, in another thread, Sam said he received word from the publisher that there are more volumes coming, but no time frame.

@jampodevral
I remember reading that the fan translator went with Doug to keep the dog theme, since Queen's name intentionally has inu in it (Kuuinu). Supposedly he ran it by the author, and got the okay. -
@jampodevral Not being able to actually read Japanese makes this a shaky thing to say, but when I run the author's web novel thru Google Translate, Fie comes out as Fee and when I see Feel, I'm always guessing if it's Fie or Fielle. Queen usual comes out as something that sounds the same phonetically.
@Aki_Iokua I'm going to assume that's old info, because I can't see an author endorsing a fan translation after signing a contract to do a licensed translation. Just doesn't seem like a good business move.

@paul-nebeling
Yeah, read that in a discussion the fan translator had with readers about why it was Doug instead of Queen way before this site was even a thing. -
@aki_iokua "Doug" brings to mind the outrageous image of Tim the Enchanter. Mental gears grinding in a fantasy setting.
