I also suggest the Scholarmance series by Naomi Novik. They are very good and have a LN vibe to them.

It's not a j-novel but I've surprisingly loved 'Beware of Chicken' just as much is I've loved ascendance of a bookworm.

Not J-Novel Club but I've been having a really good time with Secrets of the Silent Witch.
Monica as the main Character has some similarities with Myne in Bookworm and Maomao in Apothecary Dairies:

She's immensely and obsessively talented in one area (in her case magecraft and mathematics)

Initially disinterested in things outside her area of interest

Socially awkward (dysfunctionally so, much more so than either Myne or Maomao)

Her outlook through the series changes and her social circle improves due to her experiences through the series.

Can be pretty funny at times but has serious stakes happening behind the scenes

11 volumes out in Japan (first story arc ends in volume 9) and 7 out in the west through Yen Press

@jafwasw I love Secrets of the Silent Witch, it’s in my top five non-JNC books currently releasing new volumes
