How to Tell if a Series Has A Conclusion (...for the most part).
-
It feels a little worse knowing a series is complete and the fan translation is going at one mile per year.
-
70 years after the last surviving creator has died, the series has concluded...its copyright run in both U.S. and Japan.

Which series was that? World Break?
Luckily I haven't gone too far down the fanslation road yet. Would like to at least purchase the work or support the Syosetu (with page clicks and retweets) before diving into those. And reading a series that the translator gave up on would leave a bad taste too, so I don't know if I want to even start anything that's going slow translation wise. =[

You can thank us having to wait that long for American properties in the US on a certain company with a famous mouse and some others lobbying Congress to change copyright laws. With the change, Steamboat Willie won't enter the public domain until January 2024.

2019 will be the first year in a while that anything has entered the public domain here.

A Congress member may claim the copyright extension was to comply with international copyright treaties. I think it was more so estates and media companies could further milk their precious intellectual properties.

"Hero Legend of the World Without God"
This fully complete 3 volume series page just went up on Bookwalker digitally. All 3 release August 10th.
https://bookwalker.jp/de4ae3c40a-c3bc-4883-a079-f245e2de6369/?acode=WpfPW3yk
The original paperback novels released in July of 2007. It's the debut work of the Pet Girl of Sakurasou author. Might be worthy of a request at some point. It's a space opera.
There's also a series titled Kaguya by the Pet Girl author that is complete and getting dumped digitally on Bookwalker.

In other news, Alderamin is ending. 14 volumes.
Alderamin 14's cover is out (not really a spoilerific cover).

It still holds #1 on my list of most desired light novel license.

"With Saeki, Under One Roof. I'll Have Sherbet!" concludes this month at 5 volumes.
"Saeki-san to, hito-tsu yane no shita I ll have Sherbet!"

Also, the English version of Baccano has the "completed series" tag. I think they do that with series that are concluded in Japan (Boogiepop also has the completed tag with 6 volumes). So Baccano is definitely done at 22 volumes in Japan?
Tzuredure manga is also ending at 12 volumes.

Bumping with a small update.
The Dirty Way to Destroy the Goddess’s Hero volume 6 is the final volume. It released on the 29th of December. This work is coming to us from Yen Press shortly.

Volume 1 cover (so as to avoid spoilers)
(Reminder too that Alderamin is complete; I saw some surprised at that, so more PSAs to get the word out is good).

@terrence Oh, that's ending? Guess my interest has gone up in it. I hope it's an interesting series. Looks like the first volume comes out July.

Is there a license suggested thread for this? Sounds intriguing, I’d upvote/read/buy

Nothing yet afaik. I bought volume 1, but haven't checked it out yet (I'm all about horror this month, so probably not checking it out until November / December).
-
Hero No Segare is now complete at 4 volumes.
This series is by the creator of "Devil is a Part-Timer".
-
Another complete work, Fairy Tale Chronicle, ends at 20 volumes. This is actually getting a sequel series that debuted with the final volume.
