@asuna Can you give us more information on the model of the tablet which it crashes on? Model number if possible.

For another data point, I've also been experiencing hanging on the JNC logo when opening the Android app. This seems to happen about 50% of the time, as in every other attempt to open. Usually I just wait until the "This app is not responding, do you wish to close it" message, then close and reopen it, which seems to work.
This is happening on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 (noticeably underpowered) and Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra (slightly overpowered). The Galaxy Tab A8 model number is SM-X200, and the Galaxy Note20 model number is SM-N986B/DS. In both cases, the app is installed on the internal memory.
I can't recall when the hanging/crashing started, but it might be a week or so.

To pile on, while I haven't experienced any issues using the app, since I renewed my sub at the start of the month, I've noticed issues while using it on my Samsung Galaxy S23 and 10th generation Fire Tablet 8. Specifically, the devices are going to sleep while reading, despite the always on setting in the app.
Another issue, which I am slowly figuring a work around for is the Android buttons at the bottom of the screen are auto hiding, making it difficult to leave the app. Everytime I drage my finger up from the bottom of the screen to unhide them, I end up triggering the slider, losing my place in the chapter. This is more of a Fire Tablet issue though, as I can usually access the buttons on my Samsung.
If anyone has any tips to help, would appreciate the assistance.

@asuna Hi, I was the same but was just able to fix it. What I did was install Google play on my fire10 tablet and installed the j novel club app through the play store and it worked!
It was easy to do and I just followed the Instructions from
https://www.howtogeek.com/232726/how-to-install-the-google-play-store-on-your-amazon-fire-tablet/
Hope this helps

I am not able to read anything on J-Novel and it has been almost a week. When I click on content I get a picture of a girl and a message saying “oops a bug has occurred.”

@Calvinabram I am using an iPhone 14

Please go to the third tab in the app. The top right corner has a log out icon. Please log out and back in.
That typically fixes it. If that doesn’t work delete the app and redownload it.
