More strange even now.
i've tried with the new chapter 20th from;
"Did I seriously just get reincarnated as my gag character?!" (manga) & "The magic in this other world... Vol. 11 Chp.1"
on iOS app, (iPhone 8 -iOS16.7.10) or Andorid ( Galaxy Tab A7 lite OS 'ONE UI 6.1 -Android 14 based'.
and while leaving the chap half way, the app mark it as "read" (green), but onto the main list, (filtered by following series) it does right, keep the " blue bar" and the correct read progress. ??__??

Mangas' looks like the issue is solved.... but not yet with:
~ The invincible little girl... (Vol 5 Chaps 4, 5 or 6)
~ Butareba Vol. 4 Chps 3, 4, 5

And another thing I've noticed onto the website, if I remember well...
Is that previously when in a series, if "clicking" on the left side panel info. Over "Author, Translator, etc" ... it redirected to (or opened) a page with all the other works from the same person (be this the translator, author, or illustrator) ...But not any more. Had it anything to do with the Data Base (DB-SQL?) connections or anything? Will it be back at some point?
[edit], I have tried it with several browsers, Opera, Vivaldi, Firefox & Safari ... none worked any more.

Just wanted to let y'all know that new manga volumes seem to track progress just fine on iOS. I see that you already know about progress not being kept track of for manga otherwise.
Thanks for the work. It's so nice to finally not have to reload the app every time my internet connection drops š .

On Android, the manga progress for the latest part of I'll never set foot in that house again tracked properly today, but several other manga parts I have was since the updates have not been tracking. It seems inconsistent, somewhere around 2/3-3/4 of the manga parts I read don't track and the others do. I have tried paging through the parts that don't track multiple times to see if that changes things but it appears that the parts that don't work consistently fail.

Hello,
Since it has come up. We do have a feature (only available on the app). Where if you long press on a part from the series page (does not work on the releases page), you can mark it as āreadā.
Right now this only works for LNs, but in the next update it will also work for manga. This is part of the bigger update to address the read progress and āresume readingā issue.

I'm also seeing the issue where sometimes the manga will update the read status and sometimes it won't. I'm using the android app.

Ascendance of a bookworm manga part 3 volume 4 the chapters donāt work at all

If you are referring to Part 3 Volume 4 Chapter 2. That is working fine and many people have been discussing it in the proper topic.
So there are no obvious issues, and you are the first to report this.
While this is not the topic for this kind of troubleshooting. I will do it here.
Are you sure you are logged in?
Most of the time logging out and back in fixes things.

When filtering the calendar with "follows only", I didn't see today's release of AoB's Fanbook 5 even though I follow the AoB Fanbook series.
edit: a bigger issue is that for several hours now I haven't been able to see any of the prepubs. They're in the calendar, but when I click they don't load. This is what's in the console:

Is the "screen on" not actually keeping the screen on issue in the app going to be fixed? It's getting annoying to keep unlocking the phone when the screen turns off.

I'm experiencing a minor issue with my app [I'm using android]:
when I open a manga chapter it automatically skips to the 3rd page, instead of just opening the first...It is a minor annoyance, but still...

I don't come on the forums here much but after waiting a few weeks for things to sort themselves out I thought I better report the issues I've been having since the extended maintenance.
I almost exclusively use the J-Novel app on my iPad mini (6th Generation) to read my manga and novels. I rarely visit the website on my PC browser as I am now in order to post on this forum. (Perhaps I would visit the forum more if it was integrated into the app. I actually think it would be nice if readers could post comments/reviews below individual novel and manga volumes on the app.)
Some of the issues I had after the extended maintenance were reported on this thread and eventually resolved.
While there may be other bugs I haven't noticed the main two I am dealing with at the moment are to do with manga chapter reading progress. In the first instance I attempted to read the first volume of Demon Lord Retry manga which is on catchup at the moment. The app fails to show my reading progress and when I exit a chapter and open it again it always goes back to the first page regardless of which page I was on when I exited the chapter.
The second instance is almost the opposite problem. When I opened the first chapter of the first volume of Imperial Reincarnation: I Came, I Saw, I Survived (Manga) and exited the chapter after reading two pages the app marked my reading progress of the chapter as complete. I have the same problem with Mercedes and the Waning Moon: The Dungeoneering Feats of a Discarded Vampire Aristocrat (Manga).
In one case no reading progress is being shown/recorded and in the other too much reading progress is being shown/recorded.
For reference my iPad is currently running on iOS 16 with version 3.1.1 of the J-Novel Club app installed.

While tracking my reading progress appears to be working, resuming reading partway through a novel part does not, with it always saying "resuming on page 1" or "resuming on page 0". It seems to work for manga though. Currently using Firefox on Android but I checked and it happens with chrome on Android and Firefox on desktop too. It seems to happen regardless of window size (which effects how many pages there are) or whether the progress is "saved" on the same or a different browser/platform.
(Apologies if this has already been reported at length, it's just not on the first post so figured I would)

I'm sure y'all have a lot to do, but I hope the broken reading progress is not at the bottom of the priority list. It's incredibly frustrating and makes the website almost unusable, speaking for myself.

I'm still waiting for the coins perchuse directly to be fixed. Is that going to happen? I don't know if any of these issues are gonna get fixed with it being a few months now for seemingly simple things to get fixed??

@Rahul-Balaggan when I go to directly buy coins my card isn't saved so I always have to put it back in, it's actually saved by your database as I have a subscription going but it doesn't remember that.
