net::ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR / net::ERR_QUIC_PROTOCOL_ERROR
-
Am I the only person getting net::ERR_HTTP2_PROTOCOL_ERROR or net::ERR_QUIC_PROTOCOL_ERROR errors from Chrome on a lot of random parts of the website (including critical JavaScript on j-novel.club, and images on cdn.j-novel.club) today?
The forum is fine for some reason.
I notice Cloudflare is using different IP addresses from usual.

On the forum, https://forums.j-novel.club/assets/nodebb.min.js?v=r8eqol74c7o seems also affected now.
(It would also be affected by the Content-Security-Policy header if that were not report-only!)

Oh, I see what you mean. Does that error cause you to be unable to log in to J-novel Club membership? Also, pictures on the website are refusing to load for me and the whole calendar page wouldn't load at all.
-
However, I can still read the books on catch-up.
Oh, time and dates are still missing for me so I will append time and date to each post that I do from now on.

Yes, I'm unable to log in.
Worse... the website is stuck in light mode! :P
It's a good thing I wasn't trying to finish the catchups at this last second this month.

I get errors in Chrome, different errors in Firefox (NS_ERROR_NET_INTERRUPT), but the website and forum (including the Reply button) seem to work perfectly in Tor Browser. So that's nice.
Tor Browser's based on Firefox ESR (currently 128.6.0esr) and has certain modern features like HTTP/3 off. Plus I'm probably accessing different Cloudflare data centers, if they only broke things in certain regions.
(Thank you for not setting the website to give Tor users infinite captchas!)
Maybe I should suspend my membership while I have the chance.

Hello,
Out of curiosity are you connected to a VPN when you try to access our site.
Alternatively can you try connecting to a VPN? Based on the information presented our backend team believes it to be a bad connection with a cloudflare node.
-
@Rahul-Balaggan I don't usually access it through a VPN, no.
I'm afraid it would not be convenient to try.
Like I said, Tor Browser works, but I don't know if that's because it's similar to a VPN and (probably) accessing different Cloudflare data centers, or because of differences in the browser.
Edit: I meant to say, I usually hit Cloudflare's MIA locations.
Edit: AND I meant to say, thank you for responding! I'm a jerk for forgetting twice.
-
Not a jerk, we are also trying to figure out what is happening.
It just seems to be highly isolated.
Thank you for taking the time to respond in such detail.

Either I have gotten luckier, or the problem has gotten less broken. My browser may or may not still be logging errors, but it works well enough that the site appears to work.
-
I'm at home now and I'm no longer getting errors. I'm logged in as normal and the forums are working as they should. I also posted in the thread that I started.
