Description: Lady Wisteria's greatest wish is to be worthy of the man she loves, Lord Bright. But when Wisteria’s little sister, Rosalie, is selected to enter the Predawn Realm as its guardian, never to return, Bright begs Wisteria to take Rosalie’s place! After all, Wisteria is skilled with magic, and resistant to the sinister miasma that threatens the mortal world. Heartbroken, Wisteria enters the Predawn Realm, accompanied by the sacred sword, Sartis. More than twenty years later, a stranger with a familiar face appears, demanding the sword and challenging Wisteria. Who is he, and why does he resemble Lord Bright…?My Opinion: When I recently read the manga, I immediately got hooked on the story. The world building, the characters and last but not least the story are pretty well built and really exiting. There’s also a lot of drama and heartache included and the one or other plot twist, too. It‘s so good, that I also really would like to read the light novel!
Since it‘s from TO Books, I think the chances for this novel getting licensed by J-Novel Club are quite good and I sincerely hope it will get picked up.Btw, it‘s a western fantasy setting, not a chinese one.

The novel got first place on a popularity poll last year in Japan. Second place, by the way, was My Contract with the Apothecary Monster.

@Silver-Sugar-Duchess This sounds very good.

The manga was highly recommended to me and so far I really like it. That made me also very curious about the light novel as well.

...does he resemble your sister as well?
Like, maybe he's your nephew?
At least that's my cynical immediate thought. -
@Geezer-Weasalopes Naah, you can’t forget that everything only happened, because her one and only love asked her to sacrifice herself for her sister. Her whole mind was probably filled to the brim of bitter and painful memories of him all the time.
Think about it, being stuck for more than 20 years in a hostile wasteland with nothing but a talking magical sword for company, unchanging with no real sense of time and suddenly a young man, the spitting image of her lost love, pops up right in front of her. Though I can fully understand your train of thoughts, I can also understand her first confusion. And correct me, if I’m wrong, but her immediate logical conclusion was that he might be the son of her lost love and her sister.Either way, I’m curious to see if the novel will get licensed soon, given the anime announcement. I hope J-Novel Club or Seven Seas Entertainment will get the license. That said, does anyone know how the quality (translation and print) of Tokyopop light novels is?
