          Hello,

Sorry again for the inconvenience. The proper file has been uploaded to Amazon. Please allow 3 business days for Amazon to process the file. After that, you can look for an update in your digital content library on Amazon, or you may have to contact support to request that they push the update to your account.

We are deeply sorry for the inconvenience caused.

It looks like another book was published instead. One that shouldn't be out until the 7th of July.

                Hello,

Just wanted to inform you that the issue still exist on amazon.fr. I bought this novel (again) this morning and it still was the volume 5 of "the reincarnation of the strongest exorcist". So I asked for a refund and will try again later.

I truly hope to be able to read this new volume soon.

                  Hello,

Thank you for your patience. We have confirmed that Amazon does have the updated book available. We have also confirmed with customers that they were able to obtain the update by speaking with support.

They were not able to get the update themselves. Only when they spoke to support were they able to have support push the updated book to their account.

We are working on having Amazon push the full ebook to first time buyers.

At this moment it seems the only way is to buy the book and have Amazon push the update to you.

Ive talked with Amazon support and they stated they were unable to update the book. All they had me do was repurchase the book and the site qnd this did not fix the issue.

                      Hello,

We did purchase a fresh copy of the book yesterday on Amazon, and it did contain the correct book.

We are sorry for the inconvenience around this, but there is nothing we can do to assist. Only Amazon can help further as we have provided them with the full ebook file. And we have verified by ourselves by purchasing the ebook that it is the correct file.

I don't know if it helps but i started a chat with the support in the category of "problem with e-book/digital content" that is located under "kindle e-reader" and the support team was able to push a updated version directly to my device (not my account).
So now i'm able to read the correct book in my phone, try to ask if they can do the same with you.

The situation isn't ideal because having the hundreds of people or more who preordered the book and had it auto-delivered all talk to Amazon CS is not a good solution. Additionally, this is not how the updating system for books usually works.

Traditionally, when you update an existing book without changing the title or description, the updates are automatically pushed to all Kindle libraries who did not have their owners uncheck the "Automatically update my books" option. This works as long as the book keeps the same ASIN, which it should have.

If I use a different device or just navigate to read.amazon.com and check it, the book is still wrong. So it isn't my device that's an issue, it's the actual account.

The automatic update also is not happening. I check my "Manage my Kindle Library" option on the site and it does not show an update available. Additionally, when I check the Kindle App's "Settings" and then go to "Book Updates", "Automatic Book Updates" is checked and a list of books updated in the last 30 days is present. This book is not there, but one other book I own is.

My best guess (and admittedly I know little about this process other than that it usually seems to work) is that replacing the entire book at once with a different book tripped some kind of Amazon safeguard against wrongdoing.

Maybe you can try to talk to their CS and see why the automatic updating process that should have happened isn't and if they can do anything about it? That would help loads of people if a solution could be found and the normal automatic updates would trigger.

                            Hello,

We do not upload directly to Amazon due to our past history where the continuously took our book downs without warning.

We use a 3rd party uploading agent.

We have spoken to our agent and this is what they suggested:

We’ve sent an e-mail to customers who own the book to notify them of the update. These customers can download the update through their “Manage Your Content and Devices” page. If you own a copy of your book, you can also download the newer version from this page.

We are very sorry for the massive issue involved with this book’s release. We have done everything possible to correct it as swiftly as possible. But there is only so much we can do when Amazon is the main control point here.

Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

@Rahul-Balaggan The third party uploading agency also seems to be under the impression that the automatic update system should work. Unfortunately, it doesn't since those directions are the first thing I tried.

And I understand, thanks for trying. I'll poke at Amazon CS for the update. I'll ask them out of curiosity if they know why the automatic update isn't available.

Edit: That was naive of me. Of course they told me to clear my cache. My money is still on my "some kind of anti-tampering mechanic was triggered from replacing too much of the text at once" theory. Oh well, I have an updated version now, even on read.amazon.com and even without clearing my cache. Simply pressing the refresh button once (not even a hard refresh) on the tab I was looking at it on brought up the right book after my chat with CS, where they said they "pushed an updated version to my devices".
