      While thinking about certain light novels I keep thinking back of the manga Bakuman, which I think deserves a special mention (hence this thread).

      If you have not read it yet, I like to encourage people to give it a try despite the theme it is about might not sound that interesting.

      Maybe it is of interest that the mangaka of Death Note are behind that series.

      Why am I being reminded of that manga when thinking about certain light novels / discussing them is how the manga is giving an interesting perspective into the industry and how certain "manga paths" are developed.

      As in what happens to them from early on, and then becoming anime etc.

      The art and storytelling is as good as you would expect from the mangaka of Death Note.

      And the similarities of how to create a successful manga with how to create a successful light novel I consider helpful in understanding some light novel-typical-peculiarities as the developement is quite similar once a light novel got picked up by the professionals.
