@noob-slayer the sudden emerge of these people
-
@paulnamida got it ^^
-
@eugene-garbosa oh i see
-
What the fuck is this thread? If ever there was an advertisement that Sam should never sell to Qidian, this thread is it
-
@the-green-death lol, fought their fire with fire, started promoting JNC like crazy and the subscription till they tired of it!
-
Holy shit, number of replies 800+ what did I miss?
-
@lilithr02r1 a bunch of random new accounts started a discussion about Qidian and wuxia novels, it went on for 30+ pages. Sam appeared asking if it was some sort of raid but they insisted it was all a coincidence, I'm not convinced it was not all premeditated but oh well, agressively (but politely) promoting JNC titles and to subscribe made the discussion die out eventually.

I mean it's pretty obvious that they were paid Chinese advertisers.
Take a look at the guy that started this thread. Joined one day ago but he has over 100 posts. No one who's not spamming posts that much that quickly. He started several threads, with titles like "What's the best novel you ever read" and "someone recommend me a good novel"...
And his English is really wonky. His grammar is just very subtly off. It's like reading a bot trying to imitate a human.
If it was just the one guy, then maybe he was some kid with ADHD that just signed up. But when we have multiple guys all with the same M/O? Gotta be spammers.
-
@chi-c It just seems like a weird waste of money if someone actually paid them.
Do you think there are enough people who use these forums that need to know about chinese web novels?
Also the thread was so incomprehensible... it wasn't really advertising anything well. -
@sam-pinansky gotta agree there is no way this was a random thing, and I do 100% believe a Chinese Corp would pull something like this, if just 1 person had the idea all it takes is 1 middle manger to approve and then here we are.
As for how many people will actually see this thread if this was on Crunchyroll it would have been deleted so fast op would have gotten whiplash, yet several hours later here we are.
-
@rahul-balaggan agreed, Chinese Corps have an excess of both money AND manpower, I wouldn't put it past them to promote themselves in such weird ways.
-
Well, all the power to them. They should email me and pay me the money directly I'll put up a link on the front page ;).
-
-
@rahul-balaggan lol totally agree when I saw this thread pop out I ignored it than decided to check today and saw 40+ pages and was Thinking this thread was super old. Cuz some of our super old threads haven’t reach 40+ pages lol.
-
what happened here ahaha
-
Jesus, this thread was opened yesterday and 855 replies?
But uhm, to come back tot he question.
The only thing I really read there is "Gourmet of another world"
I started "The Kings Avatar" but strangely I don't find the muse to read further into it. Maybe because I saw the net OVA of it.
-
@saskir what is it all about?
-
@saskir Is that where the MC has a legendary fox familiar? Can't remember the name and where he can buy ingredients in his past world?
-
@eugene-garbosa You could call it a Isekai novel (although it was only mentioned once that he comes from another world).
Basically we have a cook which opens a restaurant aided by a system which has the goal of him becoming the "god of cooking". The world he is in has a martial arts ranking system and his food can aid in developing this. Which earns him first the title of black hearted as his food is more expensive as in any restaurant (and we would talk about a leaf which has the price of a Kobe steak and this is only the tip of it). For all of this his system provides him with quests (oh and on a sidenote, the system has a kind of temper).
I would say read around 5 chapters then you know the gist of it.

@eugene-garbosa what happened? I mean, how are they saying awful things about the thread?
