I parry everything Next Volume

Not sure if this kind of post is allowed, but I was wondering when the next volume of I Parry Everything will come out. Based on previous patterns they usually came out when the publication or something comes out, or a week or so afterwards, somewhere along those lines, but it has been quite some time already.

@coldness the next volume only came out in Japan in May. When a series gets caught up, the gaps between volumes become a lot more varied because it's harder for things to be planned in advance. It'll come when it comes.

@myskaros Thanks for that link, didn't know about that. One follow question is, given that the series is essentially caught up, there was that point about new volumes needing licensing. Does that essentially impact all future volumes as they come out? Or, say enough time has passed between j-novel not yet getting the license for volume x, such that volume x + 1 or x + 2 are out. Is it still the same thing where x and x + 1 are unknown timelines, or does the prior licensing agreement come into effect after?

@coldness I think it all depends on the publisher. So in theory, J-Novel started negotiating the licensing when the last book was released in May. At that time, if the publisher already had plans to publish the next book, they might have negotiated a 2 volume license for translation. If they we waiting to see what the sales looked like, they might have only negotiated a 1 volume deal. Alternatively, J-Novel might have wanted to wait until they could license 3 volumes at once, maybe as part of a massive series licensing agreement. So they are waiting until the publisher locks in the rights for the 3 volume from the author so that they can translate one volume after another.
That is one reason why J-Novel doesn't really have any stance on the release of future volumes other than that historically, they have never abandoned a series. Too many what-ifs.
