Death March 24 - A Good Translation

To anyone who suffered through the poor quality of the DM 23 translation and was putting off buying volume 24 because of it, don't worry, be happy.
The writing style is a little different from Jenny McKeon who translated 1-22 but the quality is high. What stood out to me was slightly stronger language, like characters described as "talking shit." Not wrong, just a change and nothing like the mess of 23.
The only thing I'd say was wrong was the speech patterns for Satou's alter ego Kuro, follower of his Nanashi the hero alter ego. In older volumes Kuro's speech was somewhat informal but educated and mature. Here he uses "ain't" and "lemme" which is closer to the childish and overly casual Nanashi.
Anyway, it's back to a good translation and hopefully volume 25 will retain the quality.

Yes! V24 was a breath of fresh air. My only complaint was that the release was oddly delayed for some reason. It was available from Bookwalker on time, but a week later for some other retailers, and like two or three weeks later on Amazon. I really have no idea what happened there.

Agreed. I could never quite put my finger on what specifically felt off, but the voice is definitely different in some places. It wasn't enough to ruin anything, but it was noticeable.
Anyway, it's back to a good translation and hopefully volume 25 will retain the quality.
Yeah, and let's hope that they'll fix V23.
I notice that V25 doesn't have an entry in Yen Press's series page yet, so no idea when it's scheduled for release. While I'm dreaming, I also hope we can get back to at least three volumes/year so that we don't fall further behind the Japanese release.

Is "Mr. Meat" back?
I have yet to complete volume 23. For a long time this series has been a "continuing due to inertia" series for me, so getting the enthusiasm back up is a struggle. -
@Geezer-Weasalopes - 23-24 are a bit like the sugar route volume where they head off away from everyone to a new land. Also a bit like 22, but without the silly goddess avatars to liven things up. Tenion says so too.
They were less interesting to me than prior volumes though partly because of 23 mangling the first half of the stoy.
From the ending of 24 they will be heading back to the normal Shiga/Saga haunts in volume 25.
I enjoyed 24, but if you're struggling to stay interested you could skip 23-24 and not miss much.
