We have published an update to our mobile application for Apple and Android devices. This post includes some notes about the update.

J-Novel Club on Apple App Store: Download it here
J-Novel Club on Google Play Store: Download it here

Here's the post on our last update: https://j-novel.club/blog/mobile-app-3-2-0-release-notes

      Changes

      • Update scrolling API used.
      • Place the Series search at the top.
      • Rework and place filters above the Series search.
      • Display recommended age on the volume banner on the parts list view.
      • Increase the width of the novel settings dialog.
      • Display the volume name and the required number of coins needed when buying more coins from the button in the volume purchase dialog.

      More Info

Series: Search and Filters at Top

This update moves the search input to appear at the top of the series list. The filters are out of view above the search input field. Scroll up to access the filters.

      These filters are available:

      • Readers Library: Series and parts of series are available for streaming for subscribers of the Readers plans.
      • Novel and Manga: Show all series, or only novel and manga series.
      • Rentals: Can parts of a volume be rented.
      • Imprints: Show all series, or only series in one of the Club, Heart, Pulp, or Knight imprints.
      • Followed: Show all series, or series you are currently following.

      Scrolling Updates

This update includes changes to the series list scrolling API used and other scrolling views. This should provide a more performant and reliable experience. This does not impact the reader.

      Troubleshooting

      Android

During testing, we sometimes encountered an installation error updating the app from the Play Store on our devices. If you experience that issue, uninstall J-Novel Club and install it again.

Did the update not get approved on the Play Store? It's still listing 3.2.0.
