What's The Two Light Novel Series You'd Like to See Licensed in 2021?
-
@Liber-Monstrorum If you're still interested, I believe one of the ones where I saw people commenting they preferred the manga over the LN was In/Spectre (Kyoko Suiri). Haven't read the LN personally (have read the English manga), but the anime chose to adapt the manga rather than the LN, which perhaps lends weight to that thought.
-
Two LN series to get licensed? I'd go with two that have had quite different anime series made:
-
Bodacious / Miniskirt Space Pirates - A mostly-great anime where I think the bits I wasn't too keen on (mainly the last few episodes) were anime original, so I'd love to see how the LN series plays out.
-
Cop Craft - I probably liked the anime more than most, but there's no getting away from the fact that it struggled in places. It did, however, make me really want to read the source material, so I guess it did it's job...
Given that these have had anime made based on them, I'd guess there are good behind-the-scenes reasons that no-one has licensed them (yet!), but I can dream, right?

Yeah I'd be mad keen on Cop Craft.

@jpwong I don‘t think you can take this series as a good example. True, the manga is an adaption of the light novel, but there are only three light novel volumes so far and I think the author and the artist probably chose to prioritize the manga, which became something like a completely independent series, since it long passed the original plot of the light novel.
Usually the author and the artist adapt the manga very similar to the light novel with maybe some small changes (because it‘s easier to draw or something like this).
But my question was, if you know a manga adaption which was completely adapted (exept for some slight changes) from the light novel without straying from the original plot, but is (much) more exiting and interesting to read than the novel. -
- Evil God Average, MC reminds me of Kaoru a nice girl with mean eyes.
- I Reincarnated as a White Pig Noble's Daughter from a Shoujo Manga, chubby villainess but so cute
-
@renofury Evil God Average is quite a good novel, the MC really reminds me of Kaoru too. It would be nice, if J-Novel Club would license it!
-
And I'd like White Pig Shoujo Noble's Daughter. ^_^
(That's the one about the girl that reincarnates into a minor antagonist of her favorite Manga, and I believe she tries to slim down so she isn't forgotten by the story / cast out like in the original tale).

-
Chronicle Legion. Just because I love Takedzuki Jou and this is his only series that has no complete TL.
-
Piggy Duke wants to say "I love you". Such a wholesome story. I just can't help but root fot the MC.
-
-
Only 2 picks... Jintai and Zero believers goddess, then.
-
@Terrence yes it is , but she gains weight so easily that weight is still an issue when she grows up.
@Liber-Monstrorum strange no company picked it up given that is well liked and only 3 volumes long
-
@lighthawk96 Would it be printed? Because if so, I'd go with Let's Buy the Land And Cultivate in Different World.
-
@Ezekiel-Cupid-nb1v6iy
I would certainly hope that it would. Right now, I'll just have to continue to pray that it gets licensed. -
My Pet is a Holy Maiden and I won’t become something like Villainess. I am a “Normal” Duke’s daughter!
-
@taz2
Both of those look very interesting. I wouldn't mind reading either if those. Maybe they will be one of the titles Tentai Books announces in March? They seem to fit what they said they would announce so who knows. This also could be well up JNC's alley as well so I guess we'll just have to continue to hope. -
Only Sense Online
A fun slice of life series involving a VRMMORPG. I've seen the first few volumes via fan translations, but I would absolutely love to see it professionally translated.
-
-
Seitokai no Ichizon, it's a pretty funny series.
-
Oda Nobuna No Yabou, another fun light novel series.
-
-
Oda Nobuna No Yabou, a definite time for THIS to DEFINITELY be printed
-
Well, there are many light novel series that I'd like to see. But, the first two are :
-
Isekai yururi kikou-kosodate shinagara boukensha shimasu. It's about reincarnated person who have to raise the children of a god while adventuring.
-
Legend (Takano Masaharu). It's about a reincarnatec person who's put into a body made by legendary sorcerer and lived in frontier town with his magical beast (griffon).
They are really interesting.

@aning06
I follow the manga on both if those and they are both great choices. -
@jcochran
I know I've read about this title being brought up time and time again. Maybe that will persuade someone to take a look at it.
