Dig into a Feast of November Catchups!
-
Here in the US, November brings one event prominently to mind: Thanksgiving! And Thanksgiving means two things: giving thanks, and food!
So what is there to be thankful for? Another chance? After checking out the manga last month, now you can read the chronicles of Will in The Faraway Paladin as he makes the best of his new life. How about little sisters? Ristia would certainly be thankful, as she is Seriously Seeking Sister! Ultimate Vampire Princess Just Wants Little Sister; Plenty of Service Will Be Provided!! How about... leaving home? Chelsea is definitely thankful that "I'll Never Set Foot in That House Again!"... though she might also be thankful for some hugs!
But if you just want the Thanksgiving dinner, we've got you covered too! When his new world doesn't have turkey, Cooking with Wild Game's Asuta has to do his best with fantasy boar meat instead! And for this month's manga, you can see all the feasts for yourself that Mukohda cooks for his zoo in Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill!
We're always thankful to all the JNC subscribers and hope they enjoy the 30 volumes available for catchup this month! :)

The Faraway Paladin
Wow! A treat just for me, who noted last month during the manga catch-up that I haven’t read the LNs yet!
Cooking With Wild Game
Last month I compared the pace of Unwanted Undead Adventurer to CWWG, so if anyone likes the vibe of UUA (not the plot, it’s a different type of story) this is a recommendation from me. The series has its flaws but I enjoy it greatly; also, it’s another one of those where I’d recommend reading beyond the first volume to get a feel for it. In this case, there’s a steady expansion of the cast starting around V3 and onwards, when we get out first real “change of scenery” in the setting. That’s not to say that the characters in the first two volumes are unimportant or uninteresting - they introduce some of my favorites! - but I think the series thrives when it showcases a more diverse cast.

Faraway Paladin is a favorite of mine. I hope we get another volume someday but it ends at a very good pause point. The anime is good so far too, but you should read volume 1 of the LN first.
Seriously Seeking Sister!
This was a fun one. It's the vampire version of FUNA's Abilities Average and it's a shame it's only one volume. The "yuri" tag is not accurate unless you squint really hard and decide to take things that way. She really is seeking a sister not a partner.

The title makes this sound like fanservice, but I swear it's not. It's exceedingly tame on that front. This is an awesome read, and I only wish that it wasn't a one shot, because the story should have continued. :-)
If you like titles like I Shall Survive Using Potions or Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life then you'll love this. It's an exceedingly overpowered main character who "just wants to settle down and be a normal girl" but fails miserably at hiding the fact that she's overpowered. Oh, and she'd really love to find someone to be her little sister while she's at it. It's questionable if this even counts as yuri, as there is no romance (yet) in the story. It felt like it might evolve into that if it had continued for another volume or two though.

On one hand, Seriously Seeking Sister was a lot of fun and I'd have enjoyed more. On the other hand, Potions Loli taught me that sometimes a series just needs to end, before it makes you regret ever starting it in the first place.
Personally, I'm looking forward to catching up on Cooking with Wild Game. I rather enjoyed it - though @MasterLillyclaw was spot on in comparing the pacing to Unwanted Undead - but fell behind a few volumes back.

Thanks guys! :D

Just wanted to say thanks y'all. I totally wasn't going to read this because the yuri tag but decided to give it chance because of y'all. It was overall pretty cute and funny. The LN doesn't really seem all that yuri but I found the manga afterwords and that definitely deserves the yuri tag, it only loosely follows the LN
