@Kamijou-Touma Totally agree. Rimaru has the edge on power, but Sui slays him on cuteness.

Does anyone actually enjoy this anime? It's a show about cooking, that's it, and it's boring as heck! Take the cooking and hunting out and each ep is about 5 minutes long, and nothing happens in those 5 minutes.

Plenty of people in this topic have enjoyed it. Not to mention the amount of people in the Discord server that enjoyed it.

Something may be “boring” to you but it doesn’t mean it is boring to others. We literally have thousands of YouTube channels dedicated to cooking and entire TV channels as well.

It’s a nice chill show and if that’s what you are in the mood for then it satisfies that appetite well

“There’s always a story. It’s all stories, really. The sun coming up every day is a story. Everything’s got a story in it. Change the story, change the world.” ― Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky

It's a great cooking adventure, that's also funny and laid back. Perfect to relaxing to while eating dinner.

Aahhhh, I'm going to miss this so much now that S1 is over.

Please tell us there's a season 2! We did catch a glimpse of Dora Chan at the end.

Hope the extra sponsorships by the food companies (and others) have contributed to the budget for more seasons!

Getting a second season is all about merch sales followed closely by book sales. Don't know how either of them went. Would like to see a second season though.

Dora-chan must be a "blink and you'll miss it" thing. Didn't even see a hint of that pixie dragon.

Yea, right as they leave for Dolan, and before their dinner scene, for a split second that flies past in the sky. ;3

have you read the LN? hunting then cooking/eating what was hunted was like the majority of the LN - it's (almost?) a parody of both the isekai genre and 'Food Wars" - and I don't think that's a bad thing

                            I read banned books

Lots of folks enjoyed the anime. Certainly a favorite of my in the season and very popular with a number of posters in reddit.

                                It's just chill and fun.

He's depicted as redish/pinkish in the manga but I recognized him from the body design.

Crunchyroll posted some behind the scenes videos about the anime:

                                    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_uNug3XXsc
                                    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEX4Jr3rBUQ

Something about them that may be interesting for j-novel club as a company is that the intro/ending clip backgrounds for the videos have images from the illegal English manga scans of the series.

I think the chance of us getting a second season might be higher because they have sponsors like Pepsi-kun getting isekai'd into the show.

Following: Ascendance of a Bookworm, D-Genesis, Housecleaning Mage, Dahlia in Bloom, Rebuild World, Conqueror from a Dying Kingdom, TRPG

@Jon-Mitchell And there's Dora-chan on the cover of volume 13, definitely red-orange in color. Still, the Dora-chan in that snap looks similar enough that is say that's him, although the cover version looks a bit fiercer.
