Now that you are licensing Manga, do you think that the number of LN license in 2019 will drop compared to 2018? or you…
We'll definitely put out more LN in 2019 than we did in 2018.

@terrence I'm wondering, the question was about licences, but the answer seemed to be about volumes, or am i just reading to much into the wording of it...
-
@timmaaah Well as each title gets closer and closer to the Japanese release, they'll eventually catch up.
The translators/new translators may be assigned to work on new titles and return whenever a new volume gets released, which depending on the title could mean 2-4 a year.
This means there will be more and more volumes being released until a title is completely finished.

It definitely reads like "more volumes" to me, not necessarily "more licenses" than 2018. But, either way, it's probably a good sign that we'll be getting more volumes again this year (I'm sure there will be a few series that will wrap or we'll catch up to that they'll need to replace). =)
-
@terabyte I really should read the posts more carefully... I just went to share the original posts offers on social media...
Glad to see the trial offer isn’t a fake out however.

It reads more open ended to me... more like more volumes overall, whether it’s the same catelog or adding in multiple licenses...

I'll spoiler tag those so they aren't showing as current, sorry.
Edit: Legacy Post edited to be spoilers.

...crap. 50 wasn't enough but I spent too much this weekend all over already. Oh well will just buy 100 tokens next year. >.>;;
Now to read 50 volumes worth of LNs 1st...
-
Until when is the 25% sale?
Edit: Whoops. Sale is for a week. Nice.
-
Hope J-Novel keeps picking up more and more novel. I just completed my 50th Novel yesterday from JNC :)
-
25% discount -> 4€ per Novel right now (Premium).
Wallet Damage: Max. T_T -
Made calculations for the next 12 months. Let's see, Rokujouma is going to catch up in a few months, so that alone will be 13+ credits. No monthly Isekai Mahou on the other hand, and who knows if there will be another licensed fantranslation next year. The non-monthly series are more manageable at least.
Oh well, ended up buying a bunch of credits. Sam, use my money wisely!
-
I had a bunch of Kindle books from before my membership that I needed to repurchase as well as several I was behind on, so now seemed like the time to do it. Ended up buying 40 credits but they were all gone in a flash. Oh well, now I can look forward to reading all the short stories I missed out on previously.
Maybe next year I can actually buy them for future releases like everyone else!
-
I got 5 credits as an early XMas present and felt guilty, lol. T_T
At least I can get a few Google Books without spending anything (got Beast Head, probably getting Kokoro Connect, looking for stuff that doesn't have short story benefits I'd be missing).
-
I went to buy a stack of credits, but I'm showing a price of $0 and the button is disabled.
I logged out and logged back in again, still disabled.
Please, take my cash monies!
-
@harmlessdave Have you entered the number of credits you want to purchase?
-
@harmlessdave Yes like @Jaquobus said, in the grey field where it says "max 10" you have to enter a number.
Also even though it says max 10 for this promotion period you can buy to 100 in 1 transaction.

D'oh! When I see a grey text box I think it's disabled, and didn't try that.

Thanks to both of you, I'm now stocked up.

Walmart website is selling 100 dollar Google Play Gift Cards for 77.77 right now. So you could really save a lot from that and the 3.99 sale volume 1s on Google Play Digital Bookstore.

But then you wouldn't get the premium editions :(
It's a good idea though if you're not a JNC member and/or don't care about the bonus stories.
