As we bid farewell to 2024, enjoy this last offering of catchups before welcoming 2025!
Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles: A tale of magical mystery and love that transcends time and dimensions. Haruto, a Japanese college student, passes away in a bus accident... but wakes up in the body of a young street orphan named Rio. Difficult years pass, and Rio ages into a teenager. One day, magical pillars of energy appear all over the continent, and near one of them, Rio meets Haruto's childhood love from his life in Japan...
Three-year-old Serephione suddenly gains memories of her previous life in Japan... but also another previous life as Serephione, who was a villainess. She decides to become an adventurer to avoid her previous ending, but every change she makes also makes the future more and more unpredictable. Check out Forget Being the Villainess, I Want to Be an Adventurer!
Finally, in the manga adaptation of Did I Seriously Just Get Reincarnated as My Gag Character?!, Toru's dream comes true when he wakes up in his favorite VR game Real World Online! Unfortunately, he wasn't in the body of his invincible warrior, but instead Nacht, the dragon princess character he made as a joke! Will Nacht survive in this cutthroat fantasy world?
Thank you for staying around for the last year, and we wish you a happy new year with many more books to read next year!

Forget Being the Villainess, I Want to Be an Adventurer! - this started out promising but falls apart at the end. The volume discussions of the last couple were filled with gripes about the plot, especially the ending. Still, we cared enough to finish it and you can try it yourself for free.
Did I Seriously Just Get Reincarnated as My Gag Character?! - I haven't read the manga but the LN was good but cancelled too soon. My take: the MC was actually happier playing online as a girl in their old life, so being reincarnated as one was a kindness.
Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles - I enjoyed it enough to read 18 of the volumes before drifting away, so it must be doing something right.

@HarmlessDave I really got tired of spirit Chronicles. Just every book he picked up girls like ash picks up pokemon. Besides that the world was pretty interesting and the plot had some real substance.
I'm not sure if I could get into it again way too many names to remember that keep coming back

Just every book he picked up girls like ash picks up pokemon.
This is why I've been liking female protagonists a lot more. Because the reluctant harem trope is really stupid, and books with female protagonists don't have it.

I'll copy @HarmlessDave's format.
Forget Being the Villainess, I Want to Be an Adventurer! - Could not stand it. Barely finished v1, never gave v2 a thought.
Did I Seriously Just Get Reincarnated as My Gag Character?! - Never finished v1. Something just was meh. But I honestly never gave it a fair shake. I should try it now.
Seirei Gensouki: Spirit Chronicles - I got to v17 before getting tired of it. I keep thinking I want to pick it back up, because I thought the world design was interesting, but I never do.
