I gusse that the light novel has a lot of themes and stuff whic for official publishing in the west might be problematic but there is official translation into Italian just not English sadly
Or maybe it is just licensing problem

There used to be an english translation, not sure if it was a fan translation or machine, but the series really, really should not be officially translated. The premise is interesting, the acutal content was not.

Gotta get a chuckle from this one - the content of this franchise is, shall we say, a bit rough. Be a very limited reader base, so I doubt there would be any real ROI here.

I think that the content it self is not that big of a deal considering what some adult novel made on wattpad have and those have been translated, the main issue I see is that publishers for japanese novels are still to few and too small so enough backlash could affect them financially so I guess they are staying away of the controversy rather than the content

@Dastern It is absolutely the content that is one of the biggest problems for seeing Redo of Healer officially licensed.

Whoever said nothing's impossible never tried slamming a revolving door.

@myskaros as I said yes the content is part of it but the main issue is who is the content aimed towards as much as we understand that anime is a style not a genre, a lot of investors don't they see anime they think kid, adult content with dark or deprave tones is fine, a lot of publishers already publish things like that the issues is the optics of publisher that people associate with books for teens getting a license to that type of work

in other words is not the content but the perception of what anime is supposed to be and how that creates backlash for a relatively small publisher (anime and manga might be main stream but LN are definitely not at least not yet)

@Dastern No, it's literally the content of this story that is beyond the pale for a lot of people who would be working on it. Speaking only for myself, I would not be willing to produce the series as JNC internal staff.
