Sugar Apple Fairy Tale (Suggestion for JNC Heart) [Licensed by Yen Press]
-
When I think back, this novel was the very first one I've ever got interested in and also introduced me to the light novel world. It is my very favorite one, I just love it!!! And the manga is good too!
-
Next to Earl and Fairy this is the best novel with a fairy setting I could think of! I would love to see this getting licensed, I would definitely buy this!!! Maybe Sam can license the first three volumes, like someone on this thread already suggested, to see, if it will sell and if the readers will like it (I definitely will).
-
Now that J-Novel Club has a shoujo imprint, I'd like to nominate this as a potential pick up for it down the line. I'd love to read this.
-
@hyperion
Someone should go around and collect these shoujo titles in one place lol -
@bloodygaikotsu
It'd be nice if we could go in and add the "shoujo" tag to all of them, then they could be all grouped together. -
@hyperion
Well, the OPs need to change it tho.
Aside from my last suggestion, only 2 has Shoujo tag (and one of them is manga) -
Now that there is s shoujo label too, please, please license this!!!! I sooo want to read it!!!!!!
-
I really hope now, that the shoujo label got etablished, that this novel gets a higher chance for licensing.
-
@silvercat422 It probably has a higher chance now and many readers really want it too, so I don‘t really see a problem with it. I think the length of the series is also okay for licensing.
-
I just love stories about fairies!!!! And this one sounds particularly promising! Please, please license this!!!!!!
-
@labellearabesque It may be so, but first there is the issue with making a connection to the publisher. If there is no connection JNC can’t even try to get the license for this novel. But I don’t know much about such things, better you ask someone like @Rahul-Balaggan about it. I think he can tell you more about it. Maybe he can even tell you, if JNC is interested in licensing this novel.
-
Does JNC even have a connection with Kadokawa???
-
At the moment not with Kadokawa Shoten (the direct publisher), they do with with Kadokawa Future Publishing (the parent company) in the form of their relationship with Enterbrain, however all Kado properties have their own individual licensing departments, so licensing from one does not equal licensing from all.
-
During springtime I love to read books about fairies, it reminds me, that this novel absolutely should get licensed.
-
I really love stories about fairies and I think this novel would be a great addition to J-Novel Club's line-up! Please, please license it!!!
-
@SilverCat422 What beautiful covers! Now I want this novel getting licensed more than ever!!!

The story sounds really interesting and I always love novels about fairies. Moreover the setting this time is really unique, even with sugar sculpture making included. And the art is so lovely! Please, please license it!!!
