Will there any new light novel licenses in the next months?
-
That already licensed series will be continued during this crisis I don't question, but will there be any new licenses? Currently there are 7 series licensed by J-Novel Club I totally enjoy reading, but I'm really craving for more.

There was a similar post made yesterday, https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/3113/how-often-does-jnovel-pick-a-new-light-novel
I did respond there, other then that J-Novel Club does not normally comment on any upcoming releases they have not already been made public.
Mostly gonna be a wait and see situation

I hope so. as @Rahul-Balaggan noted above, JNC won't comment until they have something official to announce, and I suspect the status of CONs where such announcements would normally be made will be in limbo for a while, therefore I'm guessing no news anytime soon. That being said, (I have no inside info- just wishful thinking) I'd like to believe that JNC has projects at various stages in the production pipeline just waiting for some sort of virtual CON where they can contribute announcements and hype...we're all just going to have to wait and see

@Jon-Mitchell I can't say I blame them for that behavior. It might not be as bad in this this market as it is with video games, but if you make a claim and then don't follow through, there tends to be significant backlash. The easiest way for JNC to avoid that is to simply not say anything before they can be absolutely sure.

yea, don't want to disappoint customers. My thoughts in my comment was more like "we want publicity to boost sales of these titles and gain visibility of JNC with attendees in general " i.e. create some buzz. Without a convention, or something similar, you really can't do that outside of customers/ subscribers you already have.
-
@Jon-Mitchell That is actually a pretty good point...

Your wish has been answered. https://j-novel.club/announcements

The return of The Hints™. Or at least one.
Edit: not that many titles, huh.
-
So it looks like we can expect at least one or two new series over the summer.
-
I rather they keep up their current pace, not turn into something like seven seas where one why novel takes 6 months
-
Oh, it's been a while since we've had hints.
-
I missed JNC's fun and creative hints.
It was so much fun trying to figure out each series based from the hints. -
They said mystery titles. So it's safe to assume there'll be more than one. Yay!
-
@shrike_al three in fact, see the three mystery covers here: https://j-novel.club/announcements

I hope there will be a novel from my wishlist, even if the chance is probably low.
