By some ill fortune, Hikaru died in a traffic accident. He was in heaven standing in line, waiting to be judged, when he took an unexpected request to transfer his soul to a person in another world. He received an ability called Soul Board which he could use to allocate points to Skills to make himself more powerful. But there was a catch…
「I want you to take revenge on someone for me within an hour. If you don’t, I’ll destroy your soul.」
To pull off the task assigned to him, he poured all his available points to the Stealth skill tree.
This is a story of a boy who specialized in Stealth. With his skill trees as weapons, he would demonstrate his unrivaled strength in another world.
This one seems to have gone completely under the radar but it is well worth the read. There are some of the typical cliches you'll find in every Isekai, but it has a few interesting spins to it that make it hard to put down. The main character moves in the background and ends up involved in a lot of important events accidentally as part of a chain reaction of his previous actions and it flows very well. It doesn't feel like random protagonist-kun events at all but more like he causes himself unnecessary trouble each time he does something behind the scenes, despite his desire to remain under the radar. There's quite a lot of world building too and it feels like everything is connected rather well.
I highly recommend anyone pick this up if they can, and I would love to see an official translation from here since I have read that there are significant differences between the WN and the LN (similar to Spirit Chronicles).

How can being a knife, be the strongest job ?
Joke aside it does sound interesting, if it really managed to put a new twist on the cliché it can be cool.
Does it stay focus on stealth or is it just a gimick at the start ? -

I don't know about this, Rule Breaker isn't exactly the strogest Noble Phantasm.

Imagine any Noble Phantasm, but it has an invisibility buff.

@Shaddohh Now I can only think about how much more useful Rule Breaker could have been if Caster had presence concealment.

Now I can't either, it'd be broken AF. Medea could totally be Assassin class if you think about it.

Here's some additional info that would be helpful for your post.
- Official Japanese Publisher Site
- Japanese Publisher: Shufunotomosha (Hero Bunko is the publishing label rather than the publisher itself.)
- Japanese Title: 察知されない最強職(ルール・ブレイカー)
- Romaji Title: Sacchi Sarenai Rule Breaker (I typically avoid fan-translated titles cause the tend to just cause confusion if the series ever does get licensed.)
-
@Eternal-Wanderer @paulnamida it's funny how close you are to what actually happens lol
@Aruseus493 thanks I'll add those now

I’ve been reading the fan translations and it might be yet another OP mc isekai, but that’s not always a bad thing. Nice enough to waste time on anyway.

Volume 10 just came out in Japan.

Title: 察知されない最強職(ルール・ブレイカー)| Satchi sa renai saikyō-shoku (rūru bureikā) | Sacchi sarenai Saikyoushoku: Rule Breaker
Web Novel 2017/05/17-2021/05/02 Nine Volumes; complete.
Light Novel | Hero Bunko | April 2018+ | 10 volumes to date [four since the topic started ~2 years ago.] | Author's note at Narou says it's a completely new story starting with Volume 2 of the LN.Author: 三上康明 Mikami, Yasuaki | Twitter | Narou
Illustrator [Volumes 1-12]: 八城惺架 Yashiro, Seika | Twitter | Pixiv
Illustrator [Volumes 13-]: 植田 亮 Ryō Ueda (ANN) Ryo Ueda (MAL)) | Twitter | PixivI don't know how the LN differs from the WN, other than the author leaving a note at the WN host site saying that it goes a new direction starting with volume 2.
I'll take that as a plus, myself.
I enjoyed volume 1.One can say that it's tropetastic, but everything is tropetastic.
The author's use of the tropes is the thing of interest, and the WN showed signs of being more than superficial, from what I remember of it.It also has a manga adaptation published by Kadokawa. It doesn't appear to have been licensed?

We got a new volume this year back in January. Good to see it's still alive. Here's hoping the series gets licensed.

@Aruseus493 He looks quite different on the v14 cover! Looks like the artist changed after v12. He got a lot skinnier. Or did something make him younger? :)

Definitely a different illustrator according to the cover credits.
Previous post with Illustrator info updated to reflect this. -

After noticing the difference with the v14 cover, I went and looked at the covers and noticed the different kanji for the artist. It can always be an annoyance when the illustrations have a new look well into a story, but life happens. Oh well.
I might go and look on ANN to see if I’ve ever read anything illustrated by either artist. I don’t venture too far from JNC these days; I can barely keep up with the titles that I’m reading here, and their forum discussions. Most of that is due to Bookworm, but that end is almost in sight (ignoring its peripheral publications). ;_;
