@Patricia-Barnes since you seem to like proactive female protags, I've got to first mention the spinoff from Dahlia, Lucia and the Loom https://j-novel.club/series/lucia-and-the-loom-weaving-her-way-to-happiness

One of the current sale series might also be of interest to you, In Another World with Household Spells. https://j-novel.club/series/in-another-world-with-household-spells
Patience is a fair bit younger than the other characters, but she's still doing a lot of innovative changes to her world.

Since you like stories with female protagonists and a light tone I suggest checking out the following:
          This Gyaru’s Got a Thing for...Vampire Hunters?!

Jeanette the Genius: Defying My Evil Stepmother by Starting a Business with My Ride-or-Die Fiancé!

Young Lady Albert Is Courting Disaster

If you’re looking for something a bit more serious in tone I recommend

          The Apothecary Diaries

The Troubles of Miss Nicola the Exorcist

          Deathbound Duke's Daughter

“There’s always a story. It’s all stories, really. The sun coming up every day is a story. Everything’s got a story in it. Change the story, change the world.” ― Terry Pratchett, A Hat Full of Sky

These are both fun, but Deathbound will break your heart because the Japanese publisher cancelled it after volume 2. I'm glad I read it, but wish there was more.

Other female main characters I've read and enjoyed from JNC:

            • Engaging With the Plot - sweet and a little silly fun
            • Making Magic: The Sweet Life of a Witch - interesting slow life spanning centuries
            • RVing My Way Into Exile - harmless, fun but to me not as good as others I'm listing
            • The Adorable Dungeon Master - only one volume so far but finishes its initial story. JNC Original English LN contest story
            • The Extraordinary the Ordinary, and SOAP! - competed story, slow life, adventure and romance
            • The Invincible Little Lady - silly fun from a young lady who has reincarnated into an invincible body
            • The Reincarnated Princess Spends Another Day Skipping Story Routes - strong mix of adventure and romance as the main character tries to avoid a set of bad endings in a story game world
            • The Young Lady is the Substitute Harvest Goddess - another JNC story contest English LN, and a good one. Fun with a bit of adventure and romance mixed into the slow life

I also recommend Cogs of time - a JNC contest winner. It is really a page turner.

Looks like a job for a Maid! - this is an ongoing JNC series where a bunch of super talented women go on adventures after a super talented maid brings them together.

Endo and Kobayashi Live! has the same vibe of girls who have a dream and a supporting cast that is 100% there to make it come true.

Tearmoon Empire and My Magical Career at Court have the same vibe of a capable female lead who finds her best self after being given an opportunity and the space to explore.

You could probably ask ChatGPT with more details on why you actually like those stories and it would give better recommendations, and it would likely include lots of stories that were originally in English too.

Second the recommendation of Tearmoon Empire though it’s definitely a more comedic story than Dahlia or the others
