Synopsis:
Clarus is a prominent knight with great ability living in the country of Torititsu. When exploring the old ruin with his childhood friend Fiana… he found a very young girl. Hence, Clarus decided the protect the young girl named Iris which holds great power, and became a fake couple with Fiana. The Pope, leader of knights as well as the villagers all ended up being involved in this case. Enjoying exploring the world together with his wife and daughter, the warm story of the [Family] starts here.Why:
So when I was going through various Hobby Japan (and other established publishers) titles on LNDB to see what might get licensed from them, this one caught my eye. It looks like a fantasy child-rearing slice-of-life like "For My Daughter", with a childhood friend romance on top. In other words, two of my favorite things in anime/manga/light novel/etc. in one. Putting personal preferences aside, this could appeal to fans of "For My Daughter", or those who initially liked that series but didn't like the direction it went (like me). Maybe between these two and "Monster Tamer's Fluffy Master-Apprentice Life" we can make "child-rearing fantasy slice-of-life" the next big hit genre on JNC? ...probably not, but it might be nice to have this sort of mini-genre collection for those interested in it.
There is one concern I can see, which is that while there have been four volumes released from August 2016 to September 2017, there has been nothing new since then, but the series is still listed as ongoing on LNDB/NU. Not sure if it means the series is actually completed, was cancelled, or the author's just taking a long time to write volume 5. Maybe someone who's more familiar with the source material can provide more info on that.

I'm smitten with that childhood friend.
Nice to see stories like this where a friend follows the hero.
I don't believe it has the complete tag on Bookwalker, no. Though, I wouldn't completely fret since I've seen stuff inactive longer get further volumes. Give it until September I guess and then panic. ={

Seems like a nice LN, you got my vote!

I do like UchiMusume even in it's current direction. But I'm always up for more romcom fluff so here's my vote.

I want this.

Ditto - looks intriguing. Hopefully there is some opportunity to understand the childhood friend as her own personality and not just as the mom and love interest. That said, if it's cute I won't quibble. :-)

Spotlight time! Long story short, I'm trying to bring attention to license request posts that are older, haven't had any recent conversation, and are lower on votes.
If you have read this particular series or even if you haven't but want to see it licensed, make your pitch.

Last volume release was September 1st 2017. It does seem like the 4th volume may be concluding things though, so maybe this is wrapped (I spoiled myself by looking at the inserts). xC
