Are there any plans for an english eBook format for the "Archenemy & Hero (Maoyuu Maou Yuusha)" Light Novels to be sold in the USA?

I really enjoyed the anime for "Archenemy & Hero (Maoyuu Maou Yuusha)" and would be very interested in reading the Light Novels that it was based on. Are there any plans on translating it to English and pushing it out in eBook format. I no longer buy paper books and only read eBooks. :-)

It's a Kadokawa property, so it's out of J-Novel's current reach.
Seven Seas has a monthly survey you can use to show support for a license (like I do).
Yen Press has the best chances of getting it but, since the anime aired years ago and the series has yet to be licensed, I wouldn't get my hopes up.

The Light Novel isn't licensed in English currently. You could try requesting it in the Licensing Suggestions sub-forum. Try to put some effort into that post though. Stuff like include the titles, publisher, LNDB link is helpful, a synopsis, and explain why you want it licensed. Some of us add the first volume cover as well as a bit of flair to the posts.

I would absolutely buy it is it were ever available legally in the US. I loved that anime. Big Sister Maid is one of my all-time favorite characters and I would adore reading the original novel version of her "I'm Human" speech. That scene is perhaps one of my top ten anime scenes ever. :-)

Kadokawa have the manga adaptation available in English on Bookwalker, with 16 out of 18 volumes having been released to date. Unfortunately though, I'm not certain if the final 2 volumes will ever be translated since I tried asking them about it but never got a proper response. At the very least however, what is available covers events way past the anime adaptation (which could've gone on for at least another couple of seasons if we go by the original source material).

@l-sama the license has actually been transferred Yen Press and they will release the last 2 volumes eventually, so if you want more answers you have to bug YP.

@rahul-balaggan I wish they would release vols. 17 and 18 right out of the bat. But more than probably they will start from vol. 1.

Oh, thanks for informing me of that, really good to know as I've been left hanging for well over a year now. XD

Hey, there's an English translation that is really high quality on this website. https://maoyuuthetranslation.wordpress.com
The guy has spent years lovingly translating Maou. You may want to download the pdfs he's completed before Yen Press issues some sort of takedown notice
Also: I'll be buying the Yen Press translation when it comes out too but I'd really suggest having the translation this guy wrote as well. It's far better than anything I've ever seen come out of Yen Press -
@rdees1993 yeah, except he never finished it. Still has a few parts left. Some of the important bits too. Need YP to hurry up and let us know something. Been at least a year since they announced they had it.

@jason_wander 10/10 I agree especially since I had been reading the light novel and not the manga.

Was this the Light Novel that started as a series of posts on 2chan?
The author’s legal problems (same guy as Log Horizon right) may also be causing delay

Wow... legal problems seem to be something of a “thing” in Japan for some writers.
