Yeah, manga and anime usually cut a lot of good things. That's why I started reading the novels lately, I started with Isekai Smartphone. The anime cut a lot of things, reading the WN I understood a lot of things that didn't make sense before.

Two light novels I'd like to see translated are Rune Troopers (a different take on Gate Jietai) and Goodbye Dragon Life, Hello Human Life (a cool fantasy series with op main character). It looks like Oregairu, It's from the same publisher.
Cover structure is way too similar to be coincidence so, I wonder how it is related to Oregairu.

It's a cute as fuck romcom about a normal human and a girl with the "role" of Demon Lord. The way the world works in the series is that there are people born with archetypes which are going to get sent to another world to fulfill their roles. This includes stuff like Demon Lords, Heroes, Necromancers, Mages, and so on. Normal people without "roles" are known as Villagers because they don't really have to worry about getting sent to another world to fulfill some destiny. Those with "roles" are known as "Personas" which are pretty much fancy words for Chuunis. The series is about the protagonist getting close to a girl with a role of Demon Lord while his childhood friend with the Hero role gets jealous. It's a cute romcom with a Demon Lord Girl who's idea of destroying humanity involves a 20 year plan to increase obesity.
From the 15/16 chapters of the manga adaptation scanlated (dead project sadly), it's pretty cute as fuck and really makes me want to read the Light Novel.

@bloodygaikotsu I heard (well, read) the one that looks like a rip of Oregairu is a parody of it & apparently pretty funny (though that's very subjective of course)
The nerdy boy/popular girl one sounds interesting to me.

I checked the reviews on Amazon Japan (with some help of Google Translation), some enjoyed it more than Oregairu and some just couldn't finish the book and some kept comparing the MCs... -

@cleveravi Yeah, I've read that one. The WN has been translated almost completely, I think only 5-6 chapters remain.

It's time for J-Novel Club to compete with Yen Press on comedy. I present Kono Sekai ga Game da to Ore dake ga Shitteiru which is a comedy series on par with KonoSuba in both style and hilarity.

The premise of the series is that the protagonist is a cult game fanatic who plays what might be regarded the world's most buggiest VR game, Nekomimi Neko Offline. When he's suddenly cursed, he's sent to another world based off this game. With no way to log-out, he now has to set his sight on beating the game without dying. In a messed up game, the protagonist meets various characters and exploits his way to strength. Some aspects include a heroine that summons monster trains, skill leveling by bashing your head, and being called disgusting using broken skills.
Only one volume was ever fan-translated sadly and it's being translated by Nano Desu which means we can't expect more than one volume every 3 years if that. So I'd love it if J-Novel Club would license this series.

please, no yanderes, please. I’ve already read a few chapters from 3 WN series including yanderes, and can’t get into those stories with obsessive psychopaths with their deranged affection.
