Also im thinking of going premium. how big are the download files?
The average size for Isekai Smartphone ebooks is 15-17 MB. I think the other series should be around that size too mostly.

@terabyte also Ive read FAQ and it says pre pub is available to members+ then it would be gone. does that mean after prepub is over non members can read it? does being a member just allows you to read the earlier? or will they not be available to casual people (except the preview chapters)

@rusttlemejimmmy Hmm, not the right topic to ask about this if you have further questions. Make a new topic in the support section and I'll be happy to reply there so we don't make this one go off topic :)

I don't think anyone has mentioned this one yet so I might as well say it. It'd be nice to see "Inou Battle Wa Nichijou No Naka De" licensed, aka "When Supernatural Battles Become Commonplace". I saw the anime a while ago and enjoyed it a lot.
not only that, fan translations for this series have been DEAD and people are still wondering what happens next after the anime.
OH! I also want to see "Noucome" licensed since I'm curious to see what happens after as well

@xftg123 yes! god coucome gives me nightmares. also how did you add pics?

I definitely mentioned Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace / Inou Battle before (this thread is very long, but I think a few people mentioned it). Though I didn't love the anime, I wanted to see how the romance played out if at all (I'm team Hatoko here).

Click on that little image icon when you're writing a message (it looks like a square photo with two mountains next to a sun).
You'll need the image URL link to copy past into the (PhotoURLHere) marks.

I like this idea. =]
Another idea is to pick series to replace completed ones JNC has licensed.
I thought they were going to license this with the Mummy hint, but nope (possible replacement for My Big Sister Lives In a Fantasy World?)
Title: Kou DeSu Ga Isekai de Joushu Hajimemashita
-
@terrence I had a few series that were in the "Rivaling JNC books" or "Replacing JNC books" like Only Sense Online as the Pure MMO LN (Only JNC seems to have pure MMO series) I was thinking of having it Rival Konosuba as a Joke, JUST LOOK AT THE GUY TO THE LEFT!

@terrence
I would love for Kou Desu ga to be licensed. It's just like Realist Hero in setting I think. Plus there was really cute flirting in the manga adaptation. Plus it's a Hobby Japan series plus has plenty of volumes. Pretty much perfect strike zone in my opinion for J-NC.@Drone205
Would love for Only Sense Online to get licensed. It's a series I've read and re-read numerous times. It's so sad that fan-translations are pretty much dead. -
For me, Chivalry of a Failed Knight (Rakudai?) is the one I want most from Drone's list. I just like when romances are
I have heard it's really good, so I'll have to see. A lot of people joked that Asterisk War (which anime aired around the same time) was the worse of the two similar titles. I wonder how that's doing for Yen Press.
-
My vote is definitely for Konjiki no Moji Tsukai. It's the first novel series I've read before the other novels, and I really like the story with it being simple, yet exciting and humorous, especially with how the MC
That's how much I like the series so much, even more so when I'm getting tired of seeing this series and others I like not getting translated.
-
Also speaking of mystery novels, it'd be nice to see "B.A.D", or "Beyond Another Darkness" get licensed.
The covers for this is so beautiful
-
@terrence Asterisk War was just a cliche magic school battle series, Chivalry on the other hand took that setting and made it work by using believable character interactions and having PROPER ROMANCE, instead of relying on the usual tropes of a harem series. Yeah, I love Chivalry of a Failed Knight. Having the MC confess on episode 3 was extremely refreshing.
And Kou-1 Desu ga has been on my top list of series I want licensed by JNC ever since I first commented in this thread (along with Ryuugajou Nanana no Maizoukin, Inou-Battle and Izure Shinwa no Ragnarok). Administration isekai have a quite an appeal to me.

I have two requests that I think would work great with JNC. Violet Evergarden and Kino's Journey. These are episodic series so they are great for pre-pubs that get translated weekly. every week can start a story and that story will end in that part. I can understand if for some stories if they are long might end in the next part (which would be a bit disappointing) but it would still be great for JNC, some parts might even get 2 stories if they are short. This would be the same appeal as Serialized shorts like Sherlock Holmes, except of getting 15 Pages worth (using Penguins publication as base) per month, we get a short story per week. I would not even care if the parts for these are sporadic if it means we get 1 story per part (Like if we get 6 parts for one book then 9 parts for the next book cuz that book has 9 stories over the other that had 6 stories). though I know Kino's Journey was Licenced in the past so it may be a little difficult but I still want it.

Is it just me or has there been an influx of requests for Kadokawa titles here lately?

Might be because people are looking for stuff outside of Harem Isekai, and Kadokawa has the most diversified portfolio. I think everyone understands that getting the Kadokawa properties specifically is probably a tall task currently, but maybe JNC can find some comparables.
I'd say 9 out of 10 interesting titles I see on Bookwalker are Kadokawa.
There's some interesting Kodansha stuff out there too, but a lot of those fly under the radar, and a lot of them are short / cancelled series. T.T
-
@terrence Me, I don't really pay attention to the publishers of what series I think seem interesting but I noticed that quite a bit of series that look interesting to me are from Overlap.
-
@terrence
Unfortunately, when I look into publishers of the novels I really want, Kadokawa owns most of them.
The rest are by Kodansha novels, Taiga and Box
But JNC, so far, only deals with Kodansha LIGHTNOVEL
https://curiouscat.me/jnovelclub/post/347054198?1520879967Then by Gagaga Bunko
Then any other publishers.
(That's while ignoring the fact that I want to see books from Kyoto Animation's KA Esuma Bunko.)
