@terrence you know what, I always saw While/Silver hair as the more Kuudere type.

This depends on what the white / silver looks like. Older silver hair characters in fantasy are mostly blonde stand-ins. The silver hair Kuudere you're thinking of I'd probably label Lolita, which again, throws off the labels.
Here's a girl I would write off as borderline Loli Robot personality (Kuudere). xD
"Instant Messiah"

Here's a Loli silver haired type that is a blonde stand in (but not Kuudere). I was only interested in this one because of the slime character. It also only has two volumes, and is "completed":

Here's a fun loving silver haired warrior. Lady Clena in Mixed Bathing is, like, the opposite of her in personality (more that Kuudere), but similar in look. Short hair changes everything; she's probably more an orange haired stand in.
"Lizard and Together"

Someone posted the mature silver haired gal from the Konosuba writer's new novel earlier. She has the Ahoge thing going like Saber, along with that thick hair style of a blonde haired Oneesama (so not quite a forced romantic lead; she kind of looks like the drunk older sister type mixed with the battle warrior type). Since it's by the Konosuba author though, he probably plays with the tropes.
There's also the "dark skin, silver hair" stereotype in fantasy, which again, is its own thing.

@terrence Then there are the girls that have those swirly screw drill like twin tail things.

A lot of those girls are Ojou (highborn). Not many of the drill twin tails get to be lead heroines though. =[
Catherine is the video game drill hair mascot. Or maybe Mirabelle from Fire Emblem. I guess Yandere simulator has a drill tail too, Kokona.
Who is the anime / LN drill hair mascot?
Edit: Just found a list of twin tails characters... Literally none of them are lead love interests. Some are in Harems, but none are solo lead love interests. Poor Drill hair. ={

I think the gal from Hundred might be the most significant drill tail heroine in LNs / anime based on this list... And she's still second fiddle to silver hair afaik.

@aruseus493 I requested the elf wife LN back several months ago :P.
I’ve been reading the fan translation, although they’ve only been doing a chapter a month, but it’s still so sweet it’ll give you diabetes. -
@terrence you should totally write a ln with one as the lead.

It sounds like I have to.
I'm an Ojou Drill Tail Character, But That's Ok: My Drills Will Pierce The Barrier Between Me And All These Authors' Self-Insert Main Characters And Their Worse Fetishes!
Edit: This Overlap volume 1 below has a pink haired Lesbian with some curly-ish twin tails on the cover of volume 1 (I believe it is harem though... And the other girl is male; also, only 2 volumes).

(Looking at the inserts, those are just straight twin tails... She has failed us).
-
@aruseus493 so, it's straight fantasy?? I'm in!
-
@paulnamida Yea, straight fantasy with some interesting world building.
-
Here is a theme: Harem King
Here are some of the more obvious ones (to me):
Highschool DxD
The Testament of Sister New Devil
Campione
-
@drone205 I would add Magika no Kenshi to Basileus, Masou Gakuen HxH, Chronicle Legion and Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance to that list.
-
@drone205 My kids would be ecstatic if JNC picked up DxD, but alas, Kadokawa.
-
King harem seems to be my least liked Genre, lol. No surprise since I'm usually looking for the relationship drama as opposed to comedy. I'm going through my list to see if I have any demon king Harems or Kingly / Princely Harems.
I might do one more colorful post before moving on.
Anyways, I saw this on my wishlist while I was looking around. "Death Game Management". It's about a dude that manages death games with his daughter. Label imprint is Novel 0.

I hope we get some Novel 0 (Kadokawa label) stateside someday; that "Attacking The Dungeon With My Boss" is OT work would be a great one since it's a dungeon action, but with a real world Japan as the place they go home to. It also has 3 volumes now (I think the 3rd is the final volume, but it isn't clear; this is Novel 0's longest ongoing work).
https://bookwalker.jp/series/130639/?acode=WpfPW3yk
It's OK, boss. In the dungeon, I will guide you!
Together with my beautiful black haired boss, I challenge the extremely dangerous "dungeon attack". In the workplace, I have a capable boss, but in the dungeon, she was terribly feeble.
Edit: Does a female Orca count as the King of the Ocean? All the other characters are humanoid females too, so like the loose definition of harem. x)

(Sadly, this has only one volume from Kadokawa, but it is a Syosetu work too, the final 127th part published on 10/20 2016; the light novel was published on 10/1, so I dunno if that covers the whole story).
-
@aruseus493, I finished reading what was already translated. It is actually very amazing light novel.
-
As opposed to Terrence, King of Harem is literally my shit.
I've requested it before, but this is the series that made me into the Harem lover I am today.
Sugisaki Ken has joined the Student Council. Upon entering, he instantly confesses to all 4 girls present declaring he'll make them all happy. This is a comedy/romance/harem series featuring a protagonist that has long since finished his character development and is now on a conquest of his harem. Chapters all about the characters bantering with some cute romance in-between. It's the most influential series to me.
The novel side-story series which is all about stories focusing on each of the various heroines from the manga. The second volume was even adapted into a movie. Arata is a high school student when he eventually realizes that the sun is black unlike how it used to be. After the reveal that he has awakened as a Demon King and has destroyed his city and his childhood friend, he enrolls into a Magic Academy where he goes through magic battles as he flirts with the Trinity Seven which are the 7 greatest magicians of their classes. With an interesting magical system based on the seven deadly sins, and plenty of ecchi and romance comedy, this is another fun series with a forward protagonist honest to his desires.
I'll second this request. It's a great battle series with powers on the God scale and really well done. It's also a super-ecchi-make-out series with a great harem. Lewdest kisses around. I recently finished the fan-translations and now I want to own the series. Unfortunately the last 3 volumes are very poorly translated.
Another side-story series from the manga The World God Only Knows. About Katsuragi Keima who to keep his head from being sliced off has to conquer heroines to keep old devils from being born. This is a 2 volume side-story which adds 4 more conquests and some more unique perspectives to keep things fresh. I actually own the entire manga series and the two LN volumes. (I even have all the limited editions for the manga.)
Abandoned by the Goddess that summoned him, he wanders around until he helps an old lady before he's granted God's Eye to be the Hero of another Goddess. His main method of fighting is picking up a log and swinging it around. Main heroines are some maid sisters and there is absolutely flirting. Glory to flirting.
Reincarnating with the desire to live a relaxing life farming in another world, our protagonist is essentially just building himself a small village. Various heroines appear and there's plenty of harem-love moments.
Dai Eiyuu ga Mushoku de Nani ga Warui
Another story taking place in the Grimgar universe with a more happy-side protagonist and his harem.
Butsuri-san de Musou shitetara Motemote ni Narimashita
Summoned to another and becomes an alchemist, he begins his journey as he accidentally keeps conquering demi-human heroines that are all dere-dere as fuck. Manga adaptation is cute so far. Seems like some blatant fan-service series, but I'm totally fine with fan-service when it's all about cute shit.
Otome Game no Hametsu Flag shika Nai Akuyaku Reijou ni Tensei shiteshimatta...
The Reverse-Harem Queen that is all the terrible tropes made funny. Wanting to avoid a bad-end in a world based off an Otome game, she gets to know all the male romantic interests and accidentally conquers them. She's dense and a total tom-boy as she constantly worries about getting exiled or killed while not realizing that she's long since avoided a destruction route.
Kou-1 desu ga Isekai de Joushu Hajimemashita
Pretty much a similar setting to Realist Hero as the protagonist goes to another world and becomes the lord of a city. Cute heroines and cute flirting.
I actually could go on listing more series I want, but it's a huge fucking list and I don't even know what the summaries of most of them are. So I just stuck to requesting stuff I've at least read the manga adaptation of.
-
I found one that I want that may be slight harem (guy surrounded by goddesses?). I don't know if he's a king though....
"There were 100 goddesses who were in charge of reincarnation, so I got 100 cheat skills"
https://bookwalker.jp/de13200341-f937-4ee3-bd4a-3405bd12bec0/?acode=WpfPW3yk
I just like the idea of a guy having 100 abilities, and finding out what they are. Maybe some useful, probably some comedic and useless.
@aruseus493 said in Novel pick-up requests:
I want this too. Really thought we were going to get this one as one of the hints previously (the one that was a Castlevania style hint). Kind of hoping this can be a replacement My Big Sister Lives in a Fantasy World (though, I feel like "Me a Genius?" is a decent non-harem replacement for it in terms of real world absurdity).
I heard someone say it wasn't good, but I try not to put too much stock in that since we're basing it off people reading only a small portion of content being Fan TLed (perhaps in manga format), and even if the whole series were readily available in quality English, opinions can be super subjective (like, I'm not a fan of harem romance, so a series focused on straight up harem tropes, my opinion would not be an accurate reflection on it).
Edit: White Album 2's second half is basically a harem drama. Haruki is no king though. He is a sad, sorry little man.
-
@aruseus493 Has TWGOK ever been released in English? If not, why? (though I guess 26 volumes is pretty daunting)
-
@legitpancake Nope, never licensed. Might as well bug Seven Seas to license it at some point.
-
You can get it in French! They actually finished releasing the entire series already.
