Novel pick-up requests

Rahul Balaggan

@sparhawk6 I don't mean to sound negative but Kadokawa will probably be the hardest to license from.

This is all just an assumption but that fact that they own the controlling share of Yen Press means that they mostly would wanna stick to their own company so they profit the most.

I mean look at how long it took Seven Seas to start working with Shueisha, Shueisha partly owns Viz so all Shueisha titles have stuck to viz like a damn sore thumb.

Again not trying to be negative and if I am proven wrong and J-Novel Club starts working working with Kadokawa tomorrow...I will gladly eat crow.

(Although I want them to work with SoftBank so we can get Rakudai Kishi, Inō-Batoru, Seiken Tsukai & No-Rin)

sparhawk6

@Rahul-Balaggan Well, I guess that maybe translation speed and quality + sales can make a difference, but hard to say, cuz I have never dealt with publisher so I don´t know. I would like to be surprised.
And definitely agree with Rakudai + I would like to see Hundred.

Akashura

I would like to request for the following novels to be picked up:

Ascendance of a Bookworm (TO Books)
The Spearmaster and the Black Cat
Kakei Senki Wo Kakageyo!
Nagai Koto (Alpha Polis)
Ouroboros Record ~Circus of Oubeniel~ (Shufunotomosha)
Goblin Kingdom
Sevens
Shinka no Mi (Futabasha)
That Person. Later on…
Arcadia Garden (Overlap)
Kanna no Kanna
Mobile Fortress Saratoga ~Silvery Sword Princess Became My Servant.
Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu (Alpha Polis)

Jay Roring

Would love it if J-Nov license these novels :D

Gun-ota ga Mahou Sekai
Kou 1 Desu ga Isekai de Joushu Hajimemashita
World Teacher: Other World Style Education & Agent
Lazy Dungeon Master
Izure Shinwa no Houkago Sensou
Houshin Engi
Oreta seiken to teikan no kenki
Unbreakable Machine Doll
Seiju no Kuni no Kinjutsukai

Just loving the cheesy harem romance stuff :D

sparhawk6

@Jay-Roring Kou 1 Desu ga Isekai de Joushu Hajimemashita, Lazy Dungeon Master a good one you have there! I reallly like Kou.
World Teacher: Other World Style Education & Agent, well, on one side I like it, but on the other side, that best disciple wingman part in WN is sometimes annoying. ( there are really cool girls, but they end up with someone else pff) But maybe LN is a bit different.

Rahul Balaggan

Here is a slightly old one that I always wanted to know what happened after the anime.

Rail Wars!

From Sohgeisha Clear Bunko.

DasLeswile

I would like to request
Only Sense Online

sparhawk6

Well, one thing that bugs me a bit. Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica is HJ , so it will be cool, if it will be licensed. But I guess, that ecchi factor is still a bit scary for publishers : X ( For now it is on Hiatus, so a good chance to catch up )
Geeez, also I would love to see Rakudai licensed, sigh.

Dj Johnson

@sparhawk6 I agree with getting gun-ota and World Teacher are definitely novels i'd love to buy from j novel.

idontknow

@Sam-Pinansky hearing you say that about Junrui has made my day, after having the baka-tsuki page bookmarked and monthly checking for activity, just knowing you want to translate it fills me with hope. :)

Hyferzftw

@Rahul-Balaggan does that one have an anime adaptation? Cause I remember seeing an anime with that name, was pretty slow paced but I rocked with it. I would love to read the LN.

Rahul Balaggan

@Hyferzftw yes it does it's on crunchyroll right now.

I was just watching some random anime to kill time and re-watched episode 1 and decided to put the LN suggestion here.

Mind4hire

Would love it if J-Novel could license these novels:

Upstart Pastry Chef ~Territory Management of a Genius Pâtisserie~
Tsuki ga Michibiku Isekai Douchuu
Netooku Otoko no Tanoshii Isekai Boueki
Isekai Ryouridou
Cook of the Mercenary Corp
I’m a NEET but When I Went to Hello Work I Got Taken to Another World
The Other World Dining Hall
Goshujin-sama wa Yamaneko-Hime

They are all really good reads.

sparhawk6

@Mind4hire I’m a NEET but When I Went to Hello Work I Got Taken to Another World - this one I like

WhiteCloud

How about Isekai tensei soudouki from alphapolis?

Frog-kun

I'd like to request Mahoutsukai to Boku by Ao Jyumonji. Same author as Grimgar and also published by Overlap. Only one volume out so far but looks interesting.

Canipa

I would like to second the Frog's suggestion and Lazy Dungeon Master.

sgtcuvie

My favorite choices would be GATE; Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica; Alderamin; Rakudai; and Campione. Especially GATE.

DasLeswile

Since I've just stumbled upon the opening of the anime again.
Is Katanagatari already licensed? If not, please pick it up?

NeoAnkara

+1 for whoever that said Kou 1 Desu ga Isekai de Joushu Hajimemashita
Also if Seiken Tsukai no World Break is here it will be nice. Other thing is whatever on the front page on HJ Bunko page right now like Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria.
