@kuuderes_shadow I think that's one. I remember watching the video for this too.

Well I can check the official channel latter for confirmation on what I see latter.

@DarKraD said in Novel pick-up requests:
I know this is not actually a light novel and not from the publishers that JNC has contract with, but I've read through 4 volumes of the manga adaption of Kyokou Suiri in just one night. And I love every single moment in it. So I hope one day this will get some love and published in English.
Make sure to request it from Seven Seas. They put out a form every month on their website now to send in Manga and LN requests.

Also I have two novels I would like to see~ (at the moment)
Yondome wa Iyana Shi Zokusei Majutsushi - (The Death Attribute Mage Who Doesn't Want a Fourth Time)
Kita no Toride Nite - (At the Northern Fort)The first one is a bit dark but its really good
And the second... its so sweeeeet <3 -
Akashic Records of Bastard Magic Instructor

I really want it as well. The fan translations are slow and still on volume 2. And the anime is a hella bullet train. Really fucking rushed.
There is really interesting content on later volumes which I want to read.
-
@Hakomari Well, I know the story up to vol 8. And I must say, that I will be happy to see it licensed by J-Novel. Manga is licensed by Seven Seas and is coming out in august.
Anime should cover up to vol 5, but it is really a speedrun. They left out so many good scenes : / -
I have read a lot of spoilers as well. Some parts of it gave me Kaze no Stigma vibes. Especially, the thing with the best girl. You know who I mean ;)
-
@Hakomari Haha. Well, I still have hope that Sam will make it and pick this one together with Rakudai.
But I think I know what part do you mean. -
Yeah, one can only dream. I wouldn't want anyone else picking this up because it will probably take years before they catch up to where the anime will finish. I am okay with other companies picking up Rakudai though.
If you have watched Kaze no Stigma or know anything about the MC's backstory, you will definitely know who I mean.
-
We should have a separate thread on requeeting the LN with those sentence-length names.
-
@Kadmos1: we should have an ongoing list of titles that were suggested and licensed by J-Novel or other companies.
-
@Hakomari I do know Kaze no Stigma :P
-
There are some titles I'm afraid don't have a snowballs chance in hell but I would still really like to read them.
Hentai ouji to warawanai neko
Papa no iu koto o kikinasai
Shinonome Yuuko wa Tanpen Shousetsu o Aishite Iru
Denpa onna to seishun otoko
Would be nice to know how realistic seeing any of those would be. -
@nichtmalda Hentai Ouji was licensed at one point by Digital Manga Guild. But they pretty much just never did anything with it.
-
Clockwork Planet
-
Shinmai Maou manga ends with vol 8 and I am really disappointed from the manga.
Now left to license LN. But question is who will do it? Seven Seas can, they have manga rights but I will prefer J-Novel because of the speed factor. But again, it will be about who will have balls to license a bit of borderline - H LN. Shinmai is actually pretty good LN. -
One of the things I like about J Novel Club is that you guys bring over good stories that haven't been adapted into anime. However, the only LNs that I know of that haven't been translated into English are those with an anime, so I'm in a bind there. If I had to pick from ones with an anime, it would be:
The Legend of Legendary Heroes
Madan no Ou to VanadisHowever, there's probably a snowball's chance in hell of Legend of Legendary Heroes getting licensed, because it's so long.
So instead, I'll use this. Please pick something that is a darker and more serious with a fantasy or sci-fi setting (other world or not, either is fine) and has a protagonist with a character arc. The Faraway Paladin, Grimgar, and Bluesteel Blasphemer are good examples of this.
-
@Eins Ho ho Madan is good, I recommend it here a few times. But it is sad that it will end with the next volume. (Still hope for a sequel) I know that Seven Seas have manga license, but it will be cool if J-Novel will get LN license.
-
Hi everyone! Crunchy's new licenses reminded me of a title I wanted to read the source material of: Library Wars!
There are a total of four light novels by Hiro Arakawa: Toshokan Sensō, Toshokan Nairan, Toshokan Kiki, and Toshokan Kakumei. They were published in Japan by MediaWorks.
The manga spinoffs are predictably skewed toward their shounen and shoujo audiences...meh. I can't find anyone who's licensed it for translation. J Novel Club seems a poignant choice to pick it up, don't you think? ;)
-
@Lydia-'Isidoras'-Rivers aren't those technically novel novels and not light novels?
I-I-I'm n-n-not sure w-w-we're ready to take that n-n-next step so soon...
