@Hakomari Thanks for the recommendation, I haven't read it so far. Unfortunately, it is only available as a paper back so far and I'm rather averse to buying physical books in English. Hopefully, it will soon join their digital line-up, just like Spice&Wolf and now even SAO did.

I have read both the fan and official translations. I would say the fan-translation is definitely above average. You could read those if you don't want to wait for YP releases. They have been delaying shit anyway so they won't catch up to the fan translations before 2020.

@Hakomari Personally, I'd prefer the visual novel, but I'll take the story in whatever form I can get it. Though, I'll be disappointed to be locked on to one route.
The anime only covered the more linear first half of White Album 2 concerning their high school lives. Latter is about adulthood, and I hear it's one of the most harrowing visual novels.
There's an English playthrough online, though I'm worried about that being the uncensored PC version (personally could do without any controversial CGs). Getting the PS3 version somehow would be ideal. =(

My Romantic Comedy SNAFU? I watched the show. Bit worried about it going the "character who appears on cover one / first woman he meets / obvious character is the romantic love interest". Yuigahama fan here from what I saw in the show. =P
I have volume 1 of the book, but haven't read yet. I figure the MC's monologues that he likes to spew might make more sense there.

I was kind of Yuigahama/Iroha fan before reading the novels but I am a hard-core Yukino fan now. And it is obvious from Hachiman's monologues in the novels that he is indeed in love with Yukino. He is at least bewildered by her beauty.
There are only two choices. Either friendship end or Yukino end. That is also why the author - Watari made a spinoff where he basically gave Yukinos volume 8+ story to Yuigahama and made her "win" instead. This shows that the main plot will end with either Yukino or no one.
Edit: I have the first volume as well but I have also read the fan-translations of volumes 1-11.

I think there's a good chance another series, Re:Zero, ends up having to satisfy Rem fans or no one despite already having a "Rem" end in a bonus chapter. Emelia just doesn't seem very popular, but maybe the internet reaction is clouding my judgement.
Not to say that'll happen with My Romantic Comedy. I'm guessimg Yukino is a more fan favorite than the others overall.

@Hakomari ahh Hiratsuka Sensei for the win!! Even though I know they won't get together, I soo ship them!! My second would be Yukino... But Saki is my favorite girl, but that doesn't mean I ship her with Hachiman(Can you ship a fictional character with yourself? Lol). She doesn't get much screen time in the anime though... I'm currently reading volume 8
PS: I also have the first volume of Yen Press xD. They're so slow!!

I am a bit tired of this classic romance novels. There is often more drama like in harem one. Arifureta is nice one harem too. There can be a lot of novels with harem tag but not much with true harem ending.And about My love comedy - sensei and yukino best girls. (Up to date vol 11)
One thing that makes me sad, there is still no news from Black Bullet author about vol 8

@Hakomari yep I finished wn of Mushoku and it is called true harem ending :D
But I agree, Yukino and Sensei are best.I like some dark WN/LN too, for example Fremd Torturchen or Kuro no Maou.
But YP makes me angry a bit with Re: Zero, Mahouka, SAO, etc... it just will take years till they will reach volumes from this year.
After vol 10 I believe that Shinmai will make true harem ending too. But for me is Chisato best girl!

Nah, WN-reader here. Pretty sure it will be polygamy ending with Rem and Emilia or just Emilia. Like come on the guy even says he wants both of them. And there are more Emilia fans than you think. We Rem fags are just too noisy xD
Well, besides being a fan favorite, Yukino actually has a need of Hachiman. They complete each other in a way Yuigahama can't. Yukino's character is also more developed than Yuigahama.

A few of the J-Novel Club Harems that take place in Isekai mention polygamy being a thing in their narratives. So that'll at least be a temptation for them.
This conversation is getting a bit dangerous though. Knowing or having even a hint of someone definitely winning a ship is dangerous for my reading pleasure. Even if the odds are stacked against my choice. x)
Some of my favorite winning ships of all time are:
Ever17
Steins;Gate
Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers
White Album 2 (one pairing definitely gets the more dramatic / "I love you" end even if left unresolved for the latter half)
Virtue's Last Reward (if that even counts)
Shuffle AnimeOf course, I won't spoil who ships with whom outside of tags. You can get a general sense for what I like in a ship though. Bit of surprise romantic development, female characters that are a bit Kudere or Tsundere at first before becoming Deredere, mature / dark characters who win out over more cutesy designs or pushed cover protagonists (whether there's an actual triangle or those cover characters are just independent from the main character's love interests), etc. =)

@Hakomari about Hakomari... Yen Press licensed it just a few days before I downloaded all the Volumes (Fan translation). So now I'm just here with all the 7 volumes in pdf, but I haven't started reading them... But I'm a good guy(hah) so I'll still buy Yen Press' versions

Their releases are so slow that I will probably be fluent in Japanese before they have even published all the currently available volumes of Re: Zero.
I like Dark stories as well, especially those where the main character suffers a lot (what I like to call 'suffer porn'). My favorites would be Berserk manga and Hakomari(check the username xD ) LNs. Both traumatised me a bit though. I am overall a fan of grimdark/ high fantasy novels having read "A song of Ice and Fire" and other western novels as well.
