I request:
Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita.
GC novels
Description:
When he realized it, the protagonist was in another "game-like" world and had become a sword that was stabbed in the ground in a great forest, overrun with beasts. At least, that was until he met with a cat girl that was about to be attacked by a bear type beast.
.
Hajimari no Mahoutsukai
Fujimi Fantasia Bunko
Description:
In an age long lost to legend and myth.
In an age where humans had still yet to establish a system of writing.
It’s said that there existed a Magus in a country named Scarlet.
It’s said that he imparted knowledge concerning language and writing, taught how to cultivate the lands, instructed the ways of raising animals, and brought about the gift—nay, the magic of fire.
It’s said that he was a dauntless youth, a dragon clad in scarlet red scales, a person worshiped far and wide.
It’s said that this man was the God of Civilization.
Yet strangely, his name had been virtually wiped from the records.
Therefore, he was simply referred to as—
—The Magus of Genesis.

Newest Justus R Stone top ten in Japan is up if you're looking for ideas.
World Teacher was on the list. I really want that one based on receptions from you guys here, that it has shipping elements that aren't limited to the main character.

Other people have mentioned Knight's and Magic, and I just watched the anime and absolutely loved it. It reminded me a bit of Realist Hero in that the MC is incredibly intelligent (since he's an adult genius computer programmer reincarnated into a child in the new world). It was also refreshing that the MC is young (although his thought processes are adult) and so the harem aspect isn't so blatant. I don't know how difficult it would be to get the license for the volumes (publisher is Shufunotomosha (主婦の友社), but I would absolutely love an officially licensed translation of this series. I haven't enjoyed an anime so much in several months, and Knight's and Magic just kind of hit me in the right place.

@camytang
Harem? There's no harem at all. Unless a bunch of giant soul-less robots count as heroines. -
@aruseus493 Well the anime had several girls who loved the MC as a body pillow
-
@camytang but the MC can only get hard when thinking about robots so he doesn't really care. I certainly liked his lack of fucks about his "harem". His annoyed face whenever Addie hugged him was priceless. "Fuck off bitch, let me build my roboto."
-
@camytang There were only two of them. And only one of them made any sort of regular appearance. I wouldn't even call that a love triangle honestly, let alone a harem.
-
@aruseus493 apologies i think i mistook adie's sister as a third girl in a different scene. honestly, the lack of girls after him was refreshing to me.
-
K&M spoilers ahead, but I really loved this about the last arc in the anime.
-
@paulnamida I thought the exact same things!
-
I dunno if this link works, but it should be the Kono Light Novel Ga Sugoi section on Bookwalker. These are basically the best / most popular light novel series of the year, so a decent place to look for suggestions / peek at covers.
「このライトノベルがすごい！2018（宝島社刊）【文庫部門】BEST50」

At the top of the list is "Dragon's S#it" according to my Google Translate (it's really "A Ryou's Work Is Never Done", which is out in English on the other North American / World site). :poop:

Not sure if anyone has suggested these, or if we have any Danganronpa fans in here, but:
Danganronpa/Zero - 2 volumes
Danganronpa Togami - 3 volumes
Danganronpa Kirigiri - 5 volumesThey seem to have backstories for some of the franchise's characters.
There's a few more, but I thought those sounded the most interesting.

I suggested Zero earlier, because it's an essential story to the DR franchise we haven't gotten.
Some Muv-Luv novels would be cool too. Was Total Eclipse a novel series? That might be nice to see in English.
-
Zero is the one I'm hoping for most, though Kirigiri is a close second 😃
-
@paulnamida but if you think about it, Ernestie is basically an adult, it makes sense why he shows zero interest in the girls his age in his new life(not that he has shown any affection towards older women either)
-
@imilyaz imma stick with my theory that he's robophylic, like Clockwork Planet's MC, that guy is just way too true to his desires xD
-
Inou Battle (When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace) is ending at volume 13. I don't know publisher wise whether it's viable, but certainly size wise, that sounds doable for publication.
-
@paulnamida inb4 he's going to start showing affection to one of the girls later on if they grow up or do a time skip

Posted Bookwalker and Seven Seas license request link on a Tweet that Seven Seas retweeted. =D

Do you like Light Novels / Manga? Are there licenses you want to see translated into English?
Here's two places to request licenses!
Bookwalker:
(link: https://bookwalker.jp/ex/inquiry/request/) bookwalker.jp/ex/inquiry/req…
Seven Seas: (see picture with the hamster in middle of page).
(link: http://www.sevenseasentertainment.com) sevenseasentertainment.comHopefully a lot of people using those request spots after the retweets. :fingers_crossed_tone1:
I might add this forum page to a Tweet posted below it (I think the official J-Novel Club survey page that ran a bit ago is done, right?).
Anyone know of any other good official license request pages or even just community forum request hubs like this?
-
@terrence Thanks for the info, and before anyone does the bookwalker survey make sure you make an account because Im quite sure it dumps it after confirming if your not logged in.
