@hyferzftw I mean, just read all the discussion from a month ago of all the rape the MC does. Yea I know about his back story, yea I know it's a revenge LN, but still the MC is really despicable.

@legitpancake I did but figured it wouldn’t be that bad since it wasn’t a fresh read for those comments. But you’re opinion is based on having freshly read it, so that is why I asked. I take it from your reply it is bad.

@legitpancake
I think the evil part of main character is his twisted sense of morale. Like he knows that a particular person is evil and will bring harm to people, yet he does nothing based on the idea that "This person might have been evil in the alternative past, but he has not done anything in this present".
He would willingly let that evil person do bad things in order to justify being evil back at him/her. I think this particular trait is what makes redo of healer main character despicable. -

@sinnoaria I believe you're forgetting
That's my only gripe with this series. I can dig a scummy MC that's so broken his moral compass is all over the place and acts despicable against other scummy characters, but she was just doing her job. And in the end, that actually end up saving her so it makes me really conflicted on how to feel about it.

"Oh no! Someone attacked me due to my own actions and so it's TOTALLY FINE TO MIND RAPE AND RAPE HER!"
Geez. People.

. If their world had the Public American society values, then he'd be clearly in the wrong.
Nah, American society has no real moral compass at all towards other nations, not even as broken as the MC's. Though they are both good at making up reasons to attack someone.

That is why I specified their Public values, not their real ones.
Is there a difference?
Also, by talking about politics, we are derailing this thread. I like MC from Redo of the Healer, he is different to Ainz in both goals and method. And despite doing things out of his own selfish desire, he ends up doing good for the world. -

Fair enough.

I just finish the first arc and i really don't see why there is so much reactions to it. It's boringly generic, it's your usual isekai with harem and op mc but this time he is a little edgie (i know it's not an isekai, but that mc fell like an isekai mc, with no link to the world). The MC is a good guy deep down, the demi humans are good except that one guy, the human are either really bad, really good or faceless background characters. The mc powers are op as well as inconsistent, give him every power he want, their initial minus are quickly erease, and he got himself a harem of loving slave. It's not bad but it's generic.
Also it's really similar to Nidome no yuusha, but more controversial and not as good. -
This one is 30 JPY for the next hour on Bookwalker.

He has a few minuses that have stayed, but they are rather minor and barely affect him.

Author is treating him like a dues ex machina. He can do what he needs to do when he needs to do it. Its kinda annoying, but then again, the powers are a means to the end. For me personally, I just enjoyed the journey of this sociopathic MC and the shit he pulls of in order to achieve his vengeance.
