light novel you wish to become anime
-
I was wonder want other light novels people wish to see in an anime. I am happy they are making an Arifureta anime so hopefully, we get to see some other good novels turn into anime.
-
I think first and last idol would make a nice 3 episode ova with its epic destruction scenes
-
Unwanted undead
Editing that down would make the first half dozen volumes into an enjoyable 13 episode cour
-
'Accomplishments of the Duke's Daughter' definitely needs an anime in my opinion.
-
For My Daughter is also getting an anime next season, but would have preferred to have the last three volumes animated rather than the beginning, since they are a better representation of what the series really is: a simple fluffy slice of life.
Other than that, an anime for The Magic in this Other World is Too Far Behind should work very well. Same with The Faraway Paladin, if the budget is enough. Oh, Arifureta Zero should be hilarious as well.
-
Wounded Butterfly and Orca of the Sky
Sure, all the airships and monsters would be CG, but I'm a sucker for any anime where people fly. And I think its "magipunk floating islands" setting has a lot of potential for really extravagant backgrounds and designs.Altina the Sword Princess
Because it's way better than the elf slave book and deserved an anime way more. -
Something unknown to me, so I can find great new novel to read.
As for novels I've already read - it's all big "no, thanks". Most of LN-based anime are subpar at best and only serve as effective advertisement. -
Well, Infinite Dendrogram already got confirmed, and I'm eagerly awaiting how it will turn out.
Of the novels I've read: Nogi Wakaba is a Hero. I'm also seconding Faraway Paladin, though I think that one should be just an OVA/movie covering the first book.
-
My Big Sister Lives in a Fantasy World would be great. Lots of fun characters and designs I'd like to see come to life. Action element would be a big draw too for Shounen peeps.
-
"The faraway paladin" could make for a great anime.
"Last and first idole" could be interesting if well done but is really risky.
Same for "The empty box and Zeroth Maria" interresting but risky.
"Reincarnated as a sword" would be fun, especially if they make Fran extra cute. -
The Empty Box and Zeroth Maria, though volume 1 would probably be a pain to adapt.
-
@eternal-wanderer Why would vol1 be a problem ?
It's kinda the same thing as All you need is kill which was adapt in film. -
@raitoiro I haven't read All You Need is Kill so I can't make the comparison but I just since volume 1 of Maria is essentially a time loop that we are following out of order I could personally see it being a pain to adapt. Though I at the same time I don't think it is impossible either.
-
@eternal-wanderer You've probably heard of the film adaptation "Edge of Tomorrow".
I don't think ot would be much of a problem it has allready been done like in "The Melancolie of Haruhi Suzumiya". I think vol 2 would be more of a problem, since it's the less interesting and a lot happen outside of the MC's PoV.
-
@raitoiro Sorry if I sound like a jerk here but the only time loop in Haruhi was Endless Eight and that was one of the most annoying set of episodes of any show ever so I don't really see it as a great example of how to do a time loop.
The only reason I said vol 1 could be annoying is because I personally feel that as a book its acceptable for the author to use text to let us know which iteration of the loop we are in, I personally don't feel it would work as well in an anime to constantly have subtitles tell us what loop we are on though I will admit if studio got creative with it they could probably make it work.
-
@terrence that kind of anime is not too popular, the only one similar to it that I can think of is C3.
-
@eternal-wanderer Yeah true endless eihht was kinda annoying but mostly because nothing change.
I think they could just write the loop number but do it in a stylised way, kinda like the "clock" which show the univers line number in Steins;gate
-
ooh I liked C3 (I read the BT translation years ago)
an I mistaken, I don't see a license req thread for this? -
@jon-mitchell I doubt C3 will ever get licensed, the anime came out a long time ago and older series don't seem to do as well here not to mention a complete fan translation exists.
-
While I'd like to see a good anime adaptation of all of the LNs I like, if there's one in particular I'd want, it'd be Elf Bride. Seeing Nephy and the others in animated form would be pure cuteness overload.
