I'm looking forward to finding out what the new titles are :)
-
Manga Series 1 is mostly likely a Bookworm Manga.
-
Moist, soft, slippery........I can only imagine something R-rated
-
These are all really vague but...
- This could be some sort of fantasy, but it could also refer to a romance title premised on people falling out of love or trying to rekindle a relationship.
- Are there any Mixed Bathing spinoffs? ;) Either something ecchi and bathing related, or ecchi and a terrible pun.
- ...Napoleon isekai? Is that a thing?
- Everyone's guessing Bookworm but really could be any of a hundred library-based titles.
- Could be a period piece, but the big brain play here is Joshiraku. :D
-
@TheRedJet Or maybe Ideal Sponger Life?
-
@LegitPancake @TheRedJet
or something about pasta (in sauce) -

Don't we already have Bookworm manga?

"When the magic fades" Could not be about real magic, it could be about people falling out of love, that would fit JNC heart
Or it could be about someone being disappointed, so it could also be one of those revenge isekai, personally I would hope for Nidome no Yuusha, but Death Mage is really popular and Kaifuku is getting an anime.
-
@LegitPancake That'd be nice, now that prozess has given up any pretense of translating it :P

https://j-novel.club/s/ascendance-of-a-bookworm-mangaCould be the Part 3 manga. It's drawn by Ryo Namino (whereas the Part 1/2 manga is drawn by Suzuka) because it began before the Part 1 manga was finished in Japan (and is now being published simultaneously with the Part 2 manga).
However there are plenty of reasons not to start the Part 3 manga now (as much as I want them to). Somebody else suggested the Bibliophile Princess manga which I think is much more likely. -
This post is deleted! -
I’m going straight into Wild Mass Guessing territory and hoping that first manga clue is one of the volumes Friedensrichter left for Veight and we’re getting the Der Werwolf manga. Hey, odds are I’m going to be wrong no matter what I guess, so I may as well go crazy with it!
-
are there any titles where JNC has the manga and some other publisher translates the LN?
I can't think of any - so I think the Manga are either of existing JNC titles of LN - or Manga that don't have a LNthe the 'Manga' clue with the book, is the four "fan books" published by TO in Japan for Bookworm- I'll be pretty hyped
-
@Jon-Mitchell
It's too early for the fan-books.
You are safe to read fanbook one after Part 3 Volume 2.
You are safe to read fanbook two after Part 3 Volume 5.
You are safe to read fanbook three after Part 4 Volume 4.
You are safe to read fanbook four after Part 4 Volume 8. -

part 3 volume 2
that's not that far in the future
-
@Jon-Mitchell
At earliest it’s September (16 weeks), so they wouldn’t be announcing it this early. -
When the Magic fades could (like @Raitoiro mentioned) be about people that get disillusioned in a relationship. But strangely I think about "Tensei Shoujo no Rirekisho". Seeing as our MC gets reincarnated in a World where they rely on magic but this is on the decline as the mana dissipates more and more.
@EmpactWB I hope not that we get the Manga for "Der Werwolf". I really like the LN but the manga is a mess. Artwise it is good but damn did they make it confussing or straight up strange as hell. Monza attacking Veight out of some strange thing he said or did (too long since I read it) and afterwards the conclussion that he is still him? I get the Garney Brothers but her?
-
Some initial guesses:
When the magic fades...
- Tensei Shoujo no Rirekisho - A series about a girl that shows up in another world in which magic is fading. So she spends her new life using modern knowledge to try and make money. There's 9 volumes out in Japan currently.
- Mamahaha no Tsurego ga Motokano datta - A romcom based on after a romance fails and the ex-couple end up as step-siblings.
- E Rank no Kusushi - A very fitting series but unlikely since it's an Alphapolis title. But the general premise is that an herbalist girl is abandoned by the Hero Party after being in love. It's a romance where she ends up being helped by an adventurer and it turns into a romance series between them. It fits the hint because spoilers:
Moist, soft, slippery
- The Ideal Sponger Life - The hint could be a play on the title of the series. Been a long time request in the LN community since the manga was licensed by Seven Seas. It wouldn't be the first time an LN/Manga license have been split between publishers.
J’étais une grande personne
- Realist Maou ni Yoru Seiiki Naki Isekai Kaikaku - The general translation of the hint is "I was a great person." If we combine that with the fact that the hint itself is french, this series could fit as Jeanne d'Arc appears as a character.
- Fate/Apocrypha - Same reasoning as before although less likely since Type-Moon hasn't been amiable to English licenses.
-
So as far as the hints go:
Light Novels
1: I've go nothing
2: I've still got nothing. But as many have said a slime does fit the discription
3: This one could be "I was dismissed from the hero's party because my training skill was no longer needed". Not really sure on this but this is the best guess I could come up withManga
1: This one is obvioulsy the continuation of the "Book Worm" manga. The second arc is it's own manga so if I and many others are wrong I will be surprised.
2. Yeah, I've got nothing here as well.Hopefully some of you were able to do better than me. Hopefully more hints will make this easier but I doubt it.
