What I think: While Knight's & Magic might be considering novel past her prime with all cliches trapping of "reincarnated into different world" I still consider it novel worth reading. At core it is novel more about robots themself then about people who pilot them. While most others novel focus on main hero obtaining more "physical power" (i.e becoming more good with sword, magic or simply obtaining higher "level") Knight's & Magic focus more on Silhouette Knights (or simply mecha) what main hero develop. While there is conflicts, light touch of politics, rivarly e.c. the main point of novel is Silhouette Knights, they creation and fight between them. Many can consider that negative points but if you just want read about giant robots fighting each other without heavy philosophical themes of life, death, war e.c. then Knight's & Magic is for you.
