Books/Preorders missing from Amazon
-
The first post should be updated with the current available/not available status. Things have changed since 7/22.
-
@saskir The German Kindle version of High school DxD Manga plus the Asia Spin-off were removed as well from Amazon DE but It's likely done by Amazon US as well and they might've purged it in other regions as well. Like with NGNL Disc-versions of the Anime of DXD are unaffected by the takedowns.

All of Arifureta is now gone from kindle (even reuploads), paperbacks still fine.
-
I had a thought. Dont know if this come up but the titles that i have read that have been taken down all habe some form of slavery in them. Considering the start time of the take downs and all the BS in america right now. I think that has somthing to donwith it

- For books that have been affected by the Amazon situation, we are converting them all to "color images in the back" before reuploading.
- For series that are longer than ~6 volumes, we're making a separate "Amazon version" with the color images in the back. Buying it on Kindle will have color images in the back, but premium/other webstores will be in the front.
- For all ongoing, unaffected series, color images will remain in the front for the rest of the series.
- For new series that haven't had volume 1 release yet and all future new series, color images will now be in the back instead.
I'm just wondering what will happen to these new rules since it seems that the series that were de-listed and re-uploaded following the new rules were also removed.
In fact the situation just got worse and whole series are being removed already and not specific volumes.
Heck, some regions even have the physical books being removed. -
Now that vol 13 of how not to summonnis starting to show up prepub. Can i asume it will not be released on kindle? If that is the case will the only way i can get vol 13 and continue reading is with a premium membership? Can we please get a list of effected titles so i can plan for this? Im low income and can not afford to buy a premium memebership when just 1 book i read is released in the month im active. I would need to get several titles while its going and use caliber all in one go as i dont have a pc i can run it on. Any information will be welcome. And ty for alk your work bringing us these LN!
-
I don't think other storefronts have been affected? Like Kobo, Nook, Google Play or Bookwalker (I think they're at all of those).
-
@Apairon As Terrance said Kindle is not the only ebook store. Kobo, Bookwalker, and all the others are unaffected.
-
@LegitPancake i have a kindle device i read from i would still have to buy the book on another store and convert to kindles format. Iv never done this before and do not have easy access to a pc to do this from. Im realy hoping for some more information like a official list of effected titles like is welcome to japan ms elf now one of the titles? If i end up having to try and use caliber to side load onto my kindle oasis i would rather buy as many titles as i can with a JNC premium memebership to save on costs and the time and effort it would take me to do this. Sadly my finacial situation does not allow me much freedom. I usualy have to plan out what books i can aford and most want each month. If i must buy direct from JNC i would need to plan this out way in advance to get as many effected titles as possible.
-
@Apairon The opening post indicates last updated July 22, so that's what it looked like at that point, perhaps myskaros will update it based on any new statuses that have occurred since then at some point. Based on what I can see on amazon right now, Elf 1 and 2 are gone but 3 and 4 are still available for kindle purchase.
-
@jpwong one of the translaters made a post saying effected titles will be delisted from amazon. This was not to long ago so the july 22nd post is out of date. Tje fact that vol 1 and 2 are down could mean that when they translate vol 5 it will not get posted on kindle and i would need to try and side load the book onto my kindle when JNC releases it. Ever since that post iv been waiting on JNC to update the first post with more information. Atleast a list of titles that will no longer be released on kindle and if there will ever be hope of the titles returning to kindle or if sideloading is my only option going forword.
-
@Apairon The only additional update like that I can see is the one a couple of pages back where Sam indicated that they had to take drastic action (no elaboration) and that certain series have been completely delisted from amazon. Given that post was a week ago, I can't imagine that any series that are still up in part are any of the affected ones.
-
@jpwong thats why i am asking for more detailed information like a list of titles. When i get on my kindle and search how not to summon a demon lord the first 8 books are shown to be available and yet i would say its one of the primary titles to be removed. Im worried that the drastic measures is just one way to say we throw in the towel and any series to get taken down will stay down and that new entrys in the series will not be added to kindle. I realy hope this is not the case as if this is some mom group abusing the system i would hate to think they won.
-
We're sorry there's been no new information. As Sam mentioned a week ago, the situation changed drastically around then, and we are still navigating it. Unfortunately, we cannot reveal anything publicly right now as we're still trying to figure things out, but we will post news once we can.
-
You know, every time I see that this topic has new replies, I'm ever more thankful that I don't use Amazon to buy light novels or manga.
Also need to get myself some premium credits so I can read the extra side stories in the series I'm following.
-
@myskaros thank you for the reply as im sure you are all very busy. Can we atleast hope for a update down the road? Allso can i make a sugestion for how we can download premium ebooks to are kindles? I dont know if this is possible or even legal but do you think you could offer your premium ebooks in the mobi format and let us put are kindle email on are JNC account and that why i could buy direct from JNC on my phone and be able to send my premium ebooks to my kindle device that way? Or is that a very impossible thing to wish for? Anyways again thank you for your time and hoping for new updates and good news!
-
@Apairon If you'd like to make suggestions, please go to the Suggestions & Feedback forum!
-
@myskaros thank younfornthe advice. I dont post on forums ever so all this is very new to me.
-
@Apairon It's definitely possible for us to provide a way to download .mobi files directly from our website for premium books, but for now if you don't have access to a PC to to it yourself with calibre or some other tool, maybe you could ask a friend online who does have a PC? Just make sure you can trust them.

@Sam-Pinansky ibwould never let anyone access my accounts like this so that would be a no go. I would totaly be up for waiting on a system to be added to JNC webdite or app that would let me send my premium ebooks directly to my kindle. I would buy all my JNC books this way. Untill that happy day ibwill be forced to go visit some one whis pc i trust and just do a bulk buy with a premium account for that month as sadly i cant afford to keep it up all the time. Sonfor books i can just 1 click and start reading on my kindle i will still use that option and just wait untill enough delisted books are available to buy before i try set up a good time to go over and use some ones pc. Witch is kinda hard to do with covid and what not.
