@Dcfangirl FYI, if you ever do decide you would like to cancel your subscription but cannot log in, you can always e-mail support@j-novel.club and we can help get it canceled there.

If its told to you, sorry for repeating but while reading i couldnt find to way to change the size of the characters. For now, im zooming the page so can read much easier than before but i would like to get character size changing. In old site, that was an option. Also while at it, it would be really great if there is a option to change color of the characters. But that one is just luxury :D
Sorry for broken english.

Yeah I prefer the old setup. It was easier to tell what prebub chapter were available and the font/format is difficult to read. I also find it more difficult to navigate the website in general.

Firefox on Windows, and Safari on ipad mini -- It would be nice if the filter options in the Calendar and Title section were sticky. As it is, I set the "followed titles only" option in the calendar section and read something. When I finished reading, I click the Calendar section, and re-set the "followed titles only " option. The same thing happens with the title section.

@Tahu well at least now it has full screen option. today for the first time i used happly the JNC's reading system.

Is there any way to still get to vol 2+ discussion threads from a series' page? You used to get a link to the forum topic for the part you had selected, but now even if I click on volume 2 of a series, the URL changes to reflect that, but the forum link at the top right still takes you to the volume 1 topic. Since the reader seems to have dropped the forum link too, it means the only way to find older topics is manually searching through the members-only section of the forum.

The new website won't load at all on my phone on Chrome. AdBlock browser works, but I rarely use that.
Android 8.1, Blackberry KeyOne. Chrome's up-to-date.

Is there no way to change the font size anymore? (Using chrome on windows) Using a high-res display makes it very hard to read the text to be honest.
Also, is there any way to have the 1-page option be more narrow like it used to be? You used to be able to decide between 2 same-size pages next to each other or 1 centered page, which was the same width as the 2-page spread. Now it forces me to see one extremely wide page which just feels unnatural to me.

@Dcfangirl I logged in with my Google account and got a 404 as well. However it still logged me in. It could just be the successful login message page isn’t implemented properly.
-
@killerrin The version of the purchased ebook that you can read off the site is still the prepub, so if you want the final version, you'll still need to download.
-
@Elleya If you check the first post in this topic, font options are already planned.

The new Calendar lacks images. Images make it quicker and easier to navigate then words do. Reading while doable and easy enough to do forces users to have to read through all the titles. Images allows scanning which makes navigating much smoother and easier. I have no idea why you'd adopt a calendar that lack images over the one that had images.
Font size is an absolute must. I had to zoom in in order to easily read the novel, when usually I can just increase the font size. But is a work around that works.
Preferences should be remember, it's annoying to have to readjust everything to just view my preferences.
Others are correct the new format is more cluttered, this is not a pleasant view or navigation of a site.
The old site felt more personal.
To be frank the biggest hurdle here is this new layout and how it works is completely alien to the old one and to top it off it has bugs that makes it annoying.

The new website is fine, but the new reading portion is a disaster. From my perspective, it's pretty much unusable, and if it's not fixed or reverted, I'll have to cancel. The text is too small to comfortably read, and there's no option to increase the font size or change the font.
The previous reader was pretty much perfect, and the new one is useless.

Once again, please refer to the opening post for a list of reported issues and/or planned changes and fixes.
If you would like to continue using the old website, it is still preserved here: https://old.j-novel.club/
And also note that as stated in this announcement, our software developer is currently without power due to the winter storms, so changes will take more time to be seen.

@myskaros Thanks for the apology. Is there any hope of a roll back to the previous version until things are fixed? I'm not sure if you have past experience with managing software launches, but they always will take much longer than expected as is the nature of software. Also, getting the fixes in that are needed will take a lot longer than you think it will take. I highly encourage you to consider a site software roll back for a bit until things are further tested internally and externally. This is not uncommon thing to do and doesn't represent a failure. It's just the nature of software.

Hello! Not sure if it's been mentioned yet but I am unable to log in using my Google account. I'll select "Sign in with Google", select my account, but then it takes me to a "404 Not Found" page. I'm using Firefox, and this happens on both the new and the old site. I've already reached out via email, so you don't have to respond to me here, just making sure it was added to the list in the appropriate place.

I don't know if anyone has suggested this, but a temporary splash page would have been very helpful for me. I popped on to my Bookworm bookmark to read the latest release and it took a frustratingly long time to figure out wtf was going on and how to navigate the page. A simple splash page that only appears the first time you've visited since the change that basically says "sup, new website, here is a brief summary of the more major changes" would probably go a long way in helping people adjust.

@mlindner Anyone who prefers the old website can still access it. It's in the title post of this thread. https://old.j-novel.club/top

I realize, but keeping the site up puts a lot of pressure on the staff on the programmers to rush things. Rushed code is a great way to dig yourself into places that are hard to get out of. I'm simply strongly empathizing with the software people (person?).

I thought I subscribed to notifications for the titles I was interested in, but didn't see any notification for the new Bookworm chapter set. I'd ideally like to see notifications (optionally) sent to my email, but since I currently have a few j-novel club tabs open, notifications via bell icon at the top of the screen would work too.
