@ManusDei said in Beta Website Feedback:
Hello, I have been trying to use the
https://labs.j-novel.club/feed/user/<USER ID>.<rss|atom|json>
with
https://labs.j-novel.club/feed/user/manusdei.rss
https://labs.j-novel.club/feed/user/ManusDei.rss
https://labs.j-novel.club/feed/user/@ManusDei.rss
https://labs.j-novel.club/feed/user/@manusdei.rssto use my "own" rss feed. It doesn't work, what did I do wrong and how to I get my id ?
Adding on the todo list a way to access prepub on kindle or another e-ink reader would be great :)
Still, the beta website is much more user friendly than the original one, great work there
Does the .json feed not work? I'm able to visit */feed/user/<user-uuid>.rss but <user-uuid>.json brings up a blank page with a "418 error (I'm a teapot)" (error reported per DEV tools)
-
@wolfpack I just checked, and I am able to use https://labs.j-novel.club/feed/user/xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.json just fine. 418 would mean does not match the route, which is
/user/{id:[0-9a-f]{24}}.json

I like the beta version of the site. I just have two minor problems with the calendar, I'm sorry if it was already here. But whenever I go to the calendar, there are four days missing, today is the tenth of December, but I don't see it until the fourteenth of December. And then if I select the option "Followed Titles Only " it will not show me all that I follow (I follow the ones underlined in red) but only some. I also tried to remove some titles from the following and add them again, but that didn't help. And it wouldn't be bad to be able to go from the library directly to the main page of the series. I often find myself trying to click on the rectangle with the words "Novel" or "Manga" next to + with the hope that it will redirect me to the main page of the series.
-
I think it would be good to have a "last updated %Date% " beside each volume you own in your library. so you know if you have updated to the latest version of the book it is the one thing i have a hard time keeping track of for sure.
-
I'd love to see a status entry at the top of a series page (i.e. "volume x in prepub", "waiting on next volume", "on hiatus (see forum)", etc.) as there've been a few titles recently where I never even knew the series was on hold because of health issues.
-
Under the user downloads page on the beta, the Arifureta SS volume is mislabeled as volume 11 while volume 11 (which comes out tomorrow) is labelled as volume 12.
-
The calendar page is showing titles on the wrong day for release I believe.
-
A suggestion on the title page.
I would separate or at least add a separate button to see just hiatus titles.
-
Ascendance of a Bookworm numbers the books as "Book X part Y", but in the Beta website whenever I go to my account books are numbered as Volume Z with Z being unrelated.
For example, Book 3 part 3 is numbered as Volume 9.
It's a bit confusing, I think having "Book X part Y" everywhere would be much better :) -
Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to give feedback regarding the beta website, for the sake of consistency I moved your post into this topic for feedback on the beta website.
Thank you once again!

I've noticed some regressions in the beta calendar since last time I checked it out, about a month ago:
- Many of the dates are repeated, which was pointed out a few days ago. This is leading to some releases being listed under the wrong date. I think it has something to do with time zones, because releases after 18:00 consistently get moved to the next date block for me (central time zone).
- The date lines in the calendars are now links. This isn't an issue on a computer, but on mobile the link area takes up the entire width of the phone, making it easy to accidentally press while intending to scroll. And the link only leads to itself: you already need to be at the date to click the link, so I'm not sure why they need to be clickable anyways.
- There are no more links for releases that have not released. I'm pretty sure there used to be links for all entries into the calendar, but now they only exist for items already released.
-
It looks like those first two things I mentioned were already fixed, but now I see an odd new problem: Everything looks fine when I go to a calendar page through a link (the calendar button at the top, or the next or previous month buttons), but the formatting of the calendar gets really messed up when I try to refresh or put in the url directly in the address bar. This happens on Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Chrome for Android.
-
This probably has already been suggested, but if not. On the title page where you each volume for the series and each part it would be nice to be able to click the part there and just open the chapter instead of being taken back to the old site then opening that part.

In the library, Tales of Marielle Clarac volumes are misnumbered. 4 there should be 3, 5 shd be 4 and 6 shd be 5. This is not actually a problem with the site per se, but it's only noticeable in the beta site because neither the current site nor the app shows volume numbers for the Marielle series.
-
in the library, In Another World With My Smartphone has a bad sorting that does not take into account the two-digit order.
And while downloading Mixed Bathing in Another Dimension, i noticed that the names, except for the last one, were missing a number indicating the order.
-
@ondra3985 It has always annoyed me that leading zero numbering is not used, by JNC or any of the other publishers. In fact I think that was one of my first posts on the forum a couple years ago lol.
-
@ondra3985 the volumes for series in your library are now sorted correctly. More sorting options will be available in the future. For mixed bathing, that's unfortunately due to our use of title slugs for volumes, which may change in the future (it also has nothing to do with the beta website)
-
The title page for Slayers cannot be opened to me, it shows this error:
Any other random page went to open normally. -
@ondra3985 that has been fixed

Potions novel/manga, Grimgar, Next Life as a Villainess, Sexiled, Grace of the Gods, Dendro manga, Clockwork Planet, Occultic;Nine, Otherside Picnic, and Bookworm manga all don’t show up when searching for “has physical releases.” Upcoming ones would also be nice, like Realist Hero manga, Seirei Gensouki, and Slayers.
