Ascendance of a Bookworm: "Gaiden" short story book

@LurkingMcLurk pointed out that the one released after 4.4 and the one released after 4.8 might have to be treated separately. I hope that JNC will license both but I edited this thread to be about the one released after 4.4.
I saw an announcement today of what I think (assuming I understood the MTL of the press release correctly) is a third collection of short stories coming out next spring. So that would be released after 5.7 or 5.8, I think? One more to keep track of/distinguish from the others (and to request in due time).

@b-scot-morgan At least after Royal Academy Stories: The First Year, the names are going to be Short Story Collection 1 and Short Story Collection 2, so it won't be confusing.

I see no reason not to request it now. 8-) They can translate them in due time, being only human and all. ;-) Still, I don't really see why they need us to clamour for them since I'd think it's completely obvious what we want. But if they need clamouring, here it is! 8-)

Has there been any new info on whether the short stories will be translated now that the publishing of Volume 4 part 4 is almost happening?
I would love to read these!

Hello,
Unfortunately, J-Novel Club does not comment publicly on possible licensing acquisitions or negotiations.
Thank you

Come on! Can't you even give USA hint?
(I'm joking of course)

@rahul-balaggan when (realistically, it's all but confirmed J-novel would try and most likely succeed) J-novel does license these volumes, when is the soonest in that process there would be a public announcement? I assume we would hear something before @Quof got told, “Ok, put those SS collections next in your queue.” Am I wrong?

Hello,
Sorry, I fully understand what your question is, but my answer will not change from what you replied to:

@rahul-balaggan um. Not quite what I meant (I mean yes I would love to know anything more there too). I'm not even talking about Bookworm. I'm legit confused about where and when official (not unofficial) announcements are made. I looked at the news thread, but I don't see a single title license announcement.
Is the calendar the official way to find out a new title has been announced or is there a blog post somewhere listing these things somewhere I don't know about?
I see in the about us page it mentions licenses being announced on twitter, but is that and the Q&As really the only official source?
-
@solarmist Our previous licensing announcement was in November:

@myskaros ah. Ok. Thank you.
I don't normally read the forums, exception the Bookworm pre-pub discussions, but I am interested in seeing the lists of titles that you have successfully acquired. I will keep an eye on that going forward.
I would like to suggest you also make those posts to the J-novel blog, so they are discoverable by search engines.
Edit: I just looked and the actual list was on ANN. I would double down on my suggestion in that case. It is very strange to me J-novel club doesn't maintain official blog posts of it's own licensing announcements.
