Light Novel Recommendations?
-
Does J-Novel take a look at recommendations we put out? Cause if so there's a few I'd like to reccomend first and foremost being the former top 1's sub-character training diary, has anyone read the WN of it? What do you all think of this? I really like it and would love to see it either on my shelf or my list on here.

We have an entire subforum dedicated to licensing suggestions!
https://forums.j-novel.club/category/13/licensing-suggestions
However, keep in mind that what users suggest is only one small piece in the licensing jigsaw puzzle, so don't get your hopes up too much.
Also keep in mind that as of right now, we specifically license book series, not web novels, so if the series you want is not serialized in book format, we are unlikely to look into it.

Thank you, I was looking for that area, but couldn't find it since I'm new to the forum... and yeah it has been serialized right now it has 5 volumes I think

@myskaros This does make me curious about something though.... does the staff put much consideration into series that are presented on the forum or is that just an outlet for folks to use and suggest things.
I guess my question is... Will a staff member potentially see a license recommendation, then look into the possibility of getting it?

If you look through the recommendation topics, you will find that some have been made by staff members. And every one of them has been seen by people who are "on staff", as part of their normal duties.
But, not all staff are part of the team that negotiates with Japanese publishers. And I doubt it would be as simple as faxing over a list of titles from the suggestion topics to publishers and saying, "How much?"
