Not because I've any good candidates not on the list, rather due to just having had the thought, "Where does it say he has to maintain the same form throughout the match?"

I agree that if he can change forms during the fight he will, but if it magic ability, I thought rules dictated one couldn’t use magic during the fight; yet, I may be forgetting the rules.

If he cannot, then I think that he will choose a form no one has seen and claim that it is his own form and is honoring Kelvin with fighting in it, true or not, that will be the claim.

I think he'll go with Ruka, because he'll see if Kelvin would be willing to hurt a child. And then he'll be shocked because the answer is "If that child is actually a grown man pretending to be a child? Yes."

I was just thinking Kelvin would be all "Outward appearance doesn't matter, it's what's under the surface that counts," when facing the Beast King in combat, and then flashed upon the concept of said Beast King using Prettia's appearance.

If the author went down that route, I'd be a tad PO'd.
On the other hand, the Beast King has already shown himself to be utter scum, so...
