Hanashi Media - New LN Publisher?

Another World 2 is back up on other sites, but the date was pushed back to 2-14. Volume 1 is available again at Amazon and Hanashi says volume 2 will be there too, without any censoring.
Fruit of Evolution 3 is still scheduled for 2-28, including at Amazon.
You can buy DRM-free versions direct from the Hanashi store. The store registration was broken for me last week (no confirmation email ever arrived) but it worked today.

Despite Amazon's best efforts to stop it, Hanashi has successfully released Another World volume 2, including at Amazon. Volume 1 was added back there January 27.
Fruit of Evolution 3 will be out February 28.
Very nice pace for releases Hanashi, that's only 3 months between volumes for Fruit, and 4 months for Another World (2 weeks of which was from Amazon's pearl-clutching censorship).

They really do seem to be doing a good job of it.
I discovered via DM with one of their staff (they recognized my nym included with an error correction I sent in and contacted me to thank me for doing so) that their core staff are a former fan translation group.
So while the licensing and sales aspects may be new to at least some of them, the translation end of things they have prior experience at. -
On time once again - The Fruit of Evolution volume 3 just delivered itself to my kindle.
The discord says Another World volume 3 will be out sometime in April, so 2 months after volume 2.
The anime covered a bit past volume 3 of Fruit, but I've enjoyed reading the LNs despite knowing what will happen. If you haven't watched it, the anime is a good adaptation of the LN.

Another World volume 3 preorders are up, including at Amazon, and they promise it is uncensored: April 29, 2023.
For volume 2, they placed the images in context in the middle of the text instead of at the start, and for the 3 "questionable" ones (two with gore, one with semi-nudity) they used something I've never seen in a Kindle book before: a warning and a link to tap that then opens the image. With those changes, easily offended busybodies can't download the free sample then complain about seeing "bad" content while taking a break from reading 50 Shades or Twilight.

@HarmlessDave
They do seem like a canny bunch.Other than the weird glitch of their "under development" site going live when they hadn't intended it to, they've seemed on top of things, including figuring out ways of dealing with Amazon (no small feat, that.)
I need to give a look at how they've handled Otherworld Survival; I'd been reading the Fan TL at one time.
I've very much enjoyed their translation of The Fruit of Evolution.

The quality isn't quite up to Fruit which is excellent. The writing is fine but the proofreading is about like JNC prepubs before Terabyte tells the staff what to fix ;-)
Nothing too bad, but I find myself noticing sentences where "swords" should be "sword" and similar little mistakes. That's only happened a few times per volume for Fruit.

This. My only problem with Fruit was that they used Donkey and Mule interchangeably. But their staff is extremely attentive on discord (like JNC) and are fixing it.
I dropped their other series, not due to misspellings just due to how quickly it devolved into harem bait.

Hanashi has released Another World Survival 3. On time once again :thumbsup:
You can get it from Amazon, but you're better off getting it directly from Hanashi's website where it will be a DRM-free epub files Just use Calibre to copy them to your Kindle ( https://store.hanashi.media/ )
Fruit of Evolution 4 will be out in May.
-
Once again on time, Fruit of Evolution 4 is out.
I started reading it last night and no spoilers but I was laughing out loud a few times. This and Loner Life are my two favorite LN comedies.

I adore Loner Life in Another world!

Hanashi continues to deliver, with Fruit of Evolution 5 released today.
They've mentioned in the Discord that they will be slowing down a little to improve the quality of the releases (more editing time), but it should still be a steady pace.
-
Unfortunately the translations of Another World 3-4 are very rough, like amateur web novel translation levels of semi-competence. (And not good-to-very-good fan levels like Pink Tea's at site-I'm-not-supposed-to-name)
They've admitted they messed up and say they will do better, and the translation for Love Under The Blue Moon is back to JNC/Yen quality so I'm optimistic that they will fix the process for Another World.
I hope they'll also spend the resources to go back and fix both 3 and 4: for a tiny company it must hurt to pay again for already released volumes, but I'm afraid if they don't they're going to have readers stop buying the series and maybe even give up on Hanashi :(

@HarmlessDave
They've picked up at least one new editor recently which will hopefully help.
My sense from their Discord is that they agree they blew it on those volumes, but my recollection is foggy enough that I won't categorically state that they're fixing them...but I think they're working on that, that they don't want that staying as the published translation.Maintaining adequate oversight of translation teams is no easy thing; if things are going as they should not too much is required, but you need to be on top of it enough to spot things going off the rails in time to do something about it.
I never was very good at that aspect of things, back when I was a supervisor/librarian. -

I was just about to edit my post to add this:
They mentioned tonight in the discord that they are already working on fixing 4 ("almost done") and will start working on 3 soon.
-
@Geezer-Weasalopes We have over 100 freelance translators that are working for us and yes, managing them and trying to make sure that the translation quality is always above a certain level is an extremely difficult task even with a full time Managing Translator whose entire job is just that.
-
They announced in the discord that they now have a second senior editor for each volume as quality control, who checks the work of the translator and main editor.
-
Hanashi released Another World Survival 5 on August 30, and I'm happy to report it is back up to being a professional quality translation like their other series have been.
To anyone thinking of trying the series I'd recommend only reading volumes 1-2 for now until they release the corrected versions of 3 and 4 -- the current versions are a semi-coherent mess.
-
@HarmlessDave I think they already re-released v4? I wonder why they didn't start with v3, though. 🙄

The store/account download links say "UPDATED" but as of 8-20 it was still messed up and they said in the discord on 8-26 "Volumes 3 and 4 are being updated"
