Not going to lie whenever I watch one of these streams I'm always looking for titles I will recognize and in that sense this stream was somewhat of a disappointment to me. It didn't have that "we got this big license that you've wanted for so long" moment. On the other hand you can't get those every time and some of the stuff licensed sounds really interesting. For example Tearmoon Empire sounds very promising to me.

to me the more interesting seeming ones are the JNCH(Shoujo Novel Club) such as
- The Tales of Marielle Clarac
- The Bibliophile Princess
- Fukushuu wo Chikatta Shironeko wa Ryuuou no Hiza no Ue de Damin wo Musaboru (The Vengeful White Cat Lounging on the Dragon King's Lap)
- I Refuse to be your Enemy!
compared to maybe 3 regular titles that seemed interesting
- The Economics of Prophecy
- The World's Least Interesting Master Swordsman
- Her Majesty's Swarm
but at the very least will need to try out the other titles to see if they're entertaining, who knows some might turn out as good as Mixed Bathing in Another Dimension (weird but good series)

I only know about The World's Least Interesting Master Swordsman and Fukushuu wo Chikatta Shironeko wa Ryuuou no Hiza no Ue de Damin wo Musaboru because I have been reading their manga versions, they are okay but not too exciting.
I wonder why they silently released By the grace of the gods only a few weeks before the event, since I think this title will generate more excitement. Maybe they want to focus on their new partnerships and label during this event? -
I guess I'll have to rely on the tags for these (I tend to like comedy tagged series) -- because based on the short descriptions nothing really jumps out at me. But then again I went into Realist Hero not expecting much and it is one of my favorites... so you never know.

@eternal-wanderer Sam did say that there were "other titles" that they were working on but that nothing they could announce because they were not yet finalized so I think there might still be some good titles yet to be announced. JNC puts stuff out all the time. Some of which really came durring no special occasion so I don't take any stock in these big Anime Con announcements or anything like that. Just keep checking the titles and see what comes down the pipe.

Well none of my wishlist titles got chosen, but a number of the new JNC series look potentially interesting, and there's always my physical backlog if all else fails. I don't really like that they're creating a separate label for "media with shojo elements". If stupid ecchi harems without much plot can stay mixed in with stuff of general interest, then it should be fine to have stuff with shojo elements under the same label as well. I'm sure it's not intended this way, but it feels like they're quarantining it, or like it supports a tacit assumption that female readers are only interested in romance and not in any of the existing stuff. As a female reader myself I would have preferred just improving/standardizing the tagging system and allowing people to search by genre.
While I have zero interest in things like High School DxD, the fact that it got licensed when everyone thought it was impossible at this point in time gives me hope that somewhere down the line Kino's journey, which is also said to be impossible, might be picked up, even if it takes another decade.

Well I’m pretty excited about JNC adding partners and Labels to the mix. I’ve long felt that slice of life/romance/comedy titles were underrepresented. I get why a couple of recent releases were outed a couple of weeks ago vs. now: maybe not to dilute the hype for *Heart * (these last 2 don’t really fit there) and/or the new partnerships being featured today don’t jive with those. Regardless, I’m happy to see the dozen or so new series announced recently, I’m bound to like a few in the mix!

@yumenokage I'm in the same boat with a huge backlog of light novels and manga waiting to get read. The fact that High School DxD got an offcial license shows that the light novel market is opening up more and more here in America and in other parts of the world. It's a growing market and there are plenty of titles to supply it with so there is only money to be had. I did think Sam made some really good points with the fact that they have to be careful to pick titles that they are pretty confident will make money. You've gotta stay in it for the long hawl and I agree with him on this point entirely. The thing is the market is growing and as it grows so will the types of genres and titles that will be getting official translations. The unfortunate thing is that these things take time so all we can do is wait and see what time brings us.

I expect that some of them will end up being well worth reading (and unfortunately, series blurbs are often bad enough that it's hard to know whether it's actually something that will interest you), but since I've never heard of any of these series, they're all in the category where once I run out of books to read, I may check them out if they sound interesting enough. None of them were series that I was hoping would be licensed.
Almost all of the series that I'm actually hoping will be licensed are light novel series that were previously adapted into anime, and I want the source material in English so that I can get the full story, but unfortunately, while jnovel does sometimes license series like that (e.g. Full Metal Panic, Infinite Stratos, and Amagi Brilliant Park, among others), most of their licenses are for newer series that haven't had anime adaptations yet. So, most of the time, jnovel's licenses are not for series that I was hoping would be licensed, though some of them do of course turn out to be great (e.g. I'd never heard of Seirei Gensouki before jnovel licensed it, and its blurb sounded pretty bad, but it actually turned out to be great, and it's now one of my favorite series). However, to have this many licenses announced and not have any of them be ones that I was hoping would be licensed is pretty disappointing. Yen Press certainly did a better job on that front this time around, though I suppose that that's not surprising given that a much larger percentage of the series that they license are well-known and have had anime adaptions already.
Either way, I hope that these series do well enough for jnovel that they continue to license and publish series, and hopefully some of the series they announce the next time around will be series that I've been waiting to be licensed. -

Wow. I went from having 5 parts to read to over 20 in the blink of an eye. More stuff will drop tomorrow. Oh, and I need to add all the new titles to the Wikipedia page.

@terrence Ouch. I haven gotten to the titles announced yesterday yet. I normally just read them in the order that they show up on the list and I’ve got a couple more parts to wade thru before I get to them. Of the two that I have read, I like By the Grace of the Gods more than The Underdog of the Eight Greater Tribes.

@terrence You should try Outer Ragna there's only one rather small part so far but it's really good and quite different from most isekai, the writing is also better than usual

Looked though the list, there's a couple of listings that I'd give a try based on the premise, but gonna go with the majority of people here and say not a lot that's grabbing my interest. Of the recent stuff, I'm more interested in the announcements that went up before the convention.
That said, it's not like there's a shortage of stuff to read, especially once the new replacement team members are able to get going on things, so while somewhat disappointing, I don't really see it as a problem (especially if these licenses happen to appeal to other readers)

That's definitely high up on my list to try. Probably start with that "Majesty" spider one, then go to that.

I Actually think I've done really well out of this round of announcements from J novel and Yen press getting 10 new titles across both that i have varying degrees of interest in. My wallets not going to thank me though because ouch is this going to start to hurt, I might have to start being a bit more discerning with my purchases.

So far I've read all the current new ones out except for Outer Ragna and The Economics of Prophecy one.
Out of the batch my favorites have been probably a toss up between Teogonia or Tearmoon Empire, both for different reasons.I like the to be power fantasy that Teogonia seems to going to build towards, and for Tearmoon the silly situations occurring around the main character due to her creating misunderstandings with all her subjects.
However, I will say that I did not dislike any of them so far, I'll have to read a complete volume to make a full verdict on whether or not I want to continue certain ones or not.
