With that hint, it's seems like it's going to be a JNC heart license, I don't really know any series that could fit but looking at the suggestion topics, with a bit of luck, it could be The snow white murder case.
An other suggestion that kind of fit, and is less obvious would be Ookami-san and her seven companions since it's about a young girl and sevens companions like snow white and the sevens dwarfs, plus the titular character seems quite violent so it would fit the "kiss goodbye" part. -
Ookami-san popped up when I did a Bookwalker search for Snow White (白雪姫), and was probably the most appealing on the list. I'd be cool with either of those being licensed.
-
As many already may know, we got a few hints for upcoming licenses (although just one hint got revealed right now). Does anyone have suggestions, what they could mean?
The first hint is: ”Kiss little Snow White goodbye“. -
If it turns out to be a J-Novel Club Heart title, it could be Snow White of the Antique Shop. But the hint doesn't really match this in overall.
-
If Sam is on his bullshit again maybe he grabbed A Collection of Transhuman Gamma Ray Burst Fairytales, a short story collection where all life on earth is wiped out by a gamma ray burst, and each story riffs on a different popular fairy tale.
Seems like an incredibly unlikely pick, but I never thought anyone would be nuts enough to license Last and First Idol either, so...
-
@Hosikuzu Sounds completely uninteresting, at least for me...
-
@Hosikuzu Unfortunately Last and first idol didn't sell well so it seems unlikely, but It would be fantastic if he did pick up that kind of weird story again.
-
One potential guess if we're going dark for the JNC license:
This dark Grimm Fairy Tale collection.
This one is also a "Media Works" work (Kadokawa), so it would assume new licensing partners. A 2015 series with no "completion" tag, but I don't know that it even lends itself to ending since they're collections of stories (they might have a frame narrative device that needs a conclusion though?).

I don't know if this is the same one you're talking about above. I think it's a different collection.

It'd be nice to get more award winners stateside, but I guess hearing it won some random named award in Japan doesn't do much for most folks.
Really wish Haikasoru didn't die... =(

I wonder, if there will be any surprise licenses again like last time? I hope it a little bit. And it would be nice, if we could get Kadokawa as a new licensing partner. There are some of their titles I really want after all.
-
@Clarabelle JNC has already work with Kadokawa in the past: Altina, Full metal panic and Kokoro connect are all from Kadokawa subsidiary.
-
@Raitoiro Oh, I didn't know that. Then I have hope, that I someday get the titles I want.xD
-
New hint:
Nick Fury this ain’t
The hint on the announcement page is incorrect with "Nike".Given Nick Fury is the head of SHIELD, would be nice if this is Bofuri. Or considering his eyepatch, maybe some chuuni character.
-
@LegitPancake Don't give me hope.
-
It's a bit far fetched but it could be the gacha isekai since the story is about a guy assembling a team of hero, but through a gacha so none of the difficulty which come with recruiting hero.
It's even more far fetched but it could also be Sevens since the MC is slowly building team of powerful allies (mostly girl and mostly through political marriage) to fight a powerful enemy. But at the start the MC is a pampered noble son who come as really weak unlike Furry who is a seasoned soldier.
-
When I read "Nick Fury", I think: eyepatch, missing eye, military, shield, avengers.
And the hint could be read "MC is like Nick, but not really".So maybe it's Kuro no Senki?
MC is missing an eye, has a military uniform, is probably gathering hisavengersharem.
Hobby Japan has been republishing this former Overlap title since last summer. Also, it's isekai. -
Sevens would be awesome, but I think the Snow White to Sevens clue is too obvious.
I'm guessing its more about the kiss, that woke her from death. Could a major character be some kind of undead princess? or zombie?"Nick Fury this Ain't" S.H.I.E.L.D. is a government agency, and Fury is a crusty veteran : we're looking for a major character or story about a fighting force that are not government affiliated, or maybe not well organized, headed by a novice? (maybe even a child?)
I don't have a guess, We're looking for something like Robin Hood, Where Robin is a newbie to the role and Little John is a badass undead princess (or a golem, or a zombie)

It could be Marginal operation LN, it somewhat fit that description and JNC already has the manga
-
How about Spy Room? It involves a veteran spy with a 100% success rate who has to assemble a ragtag group of seven women into spies that can succeed in spite of their mission having a 90% chance of failure rate (at least that's what it sounds like it's about).
And the girls on cover 2 have eyepatches! They ain't Nick Fury, but they'll do just fine maybe? x)

Regarding the first hint again, ”Kiss” could mean, that it will be a JNC Heart novel. ”Snow White” could mean, that the story has remotely something to do with a fairy tale character (or the title has something to do with a fairy tale character). So ”Kiss little Snow White goodbye” could mean in overall, that another fairy tale character will appear, like for example Cinderella. ”Little” could mean, that it's about a child (at least at the beginning). So I would assume it could be Fake Cinderella. It's a shoujo novel and there is the name of a fairy tale character in the title. The main protagonist is a little girl at the beginning of the novel and in the title of the first volume are the words ”Nice to meet you” too, the opposite of ”goodbye”.

@Terrence that sounds fun. I'm hoping it's this one
