Just saying that much seems to be risky from what I understand.
Western audiences are more likely to start up letter writing and petition creation to attempt to force a person, group, or company etc to “do something”.
From my understanding Japanese companies detest being pressured, and are more likely to shut down a license then speed up its release.
The problem with this is that as fans we are more likely to just buy whatever the new licence is down the road… and they’d likely start from scratch (vol 1) with new covers, and additional content. Resulting in needing to buy yet more volumes.
Don’t think it can’t happen, I was an avid reader of a 30 book series a few years ago and they jumped between 4 publishers in 5 years, or so it felt. You either end up a mishmashed bookshelf for covers or even harder to follow with how they’ve done some of the story.
