Seven Seas - April 2020 survey available!

@terrence for a second I thought you meant Yuusha ga Shinda, the one where the Hero gets killed by a villager's trap and then said villager ends up taking over the Hero's corpse with the help of a necromancer to save the world and spread the greatness of thicc thighs. Damn, I love that series. And I just realized it was licensed, what the fuck is Shogakukan Asia??

I think that is the one I'm talking about.
And it's licensed? (I think that company may be Singapore / Asian Territory based only? They have "So Cute It Hurts" listed as Koba Cute; and I can't figure out how to buy anything).
I happened upon that, the Magical Girl is a Delinquent one, and "I Live With My Brother's Wife". Probably request the latter next time (though, it sounds like the romantic setup in that one is a bit slow paced).
-
@terrence Yep, that's the series, I thought you meant another since this hero was definitely not summoned, it's pure fantasy. And seems like you're right, it's for SEA only, they don't offer sales on their site, you have to buy them on stores. Kinokuniya does have international shipping though: https://singapore.kinokuniya.com/products?is_searching=true&keywords=legendary+hero+is+dead&taxon=2

Seven Seas announced a new light novel.
The title is... rather unfortunate, ha ha. But if you want to find it, the announcement is on their site and social media. The manga is also coming, and there is an anime movie releasing too?
-
@terrence That's “I want to eat your pancreas”, right? That should actually be a regular novel, not a LN?
-
Yeah, they never use "light" in their announcement. And yes, it's that title.
I haven't looked up info, but the press release was titled (spoilers)
-
Knowing nothing about the book aside from the title, I was thinking it would be a zombie thing >.>
-
@myskaros They’re making an anime movie of it this fall. Seven Seas also licensed the manga.

Yeah, they never use "light" in their announcement.
Just to add, someone on Twitter said this was originally a Web Novel. Is that a more unique route to novel label publication?
-
Boogiepop novels are getting reprinted physically as Omnibus editions, the second of which will include two unpublished volumes (5 and 6).
Wonder if they'll be on Nook by the time the second Omnibus releases... I doubt it. I so wish they released on Google Books. T.T
-
@terrence They are coming out in physical? do you know when they will come out and where did you get this info?
-
-
I think I will suggest Mob Psycho 100 next time. Mob Psycho 100 is just a great series that I need it in an English Physical release and I know it is has a physical release.

April Survey is up. =]
I'm in a Yuri mood a bit, so maybe I'll look for some (having trouble finding light novel Yuri though). I forget if I requested the Legendary Hero Dies manga, or saw it after the last survey. I'll check what I asked for last month, then update from there.

"Yuusha ga Shinda"
https://myanimelist.net/manga/85941/Yuusha_ga_Shinda__Murabito_no_Ore_ga_Hotta_Otoshiana_ni_Yuusha_ga_Ochita_Kekka"I Live With My Brother's Wife".
Looks like I didn't request that or the "I Live With My Brother's Wife" one. Time to request them!
The Legendary Hero one is available in English, but from Singapore, and the import costs are ridiculous. I dunno what the legalities are in terms of licensing it for another English speaking territory, but I'll ask for it.
I think I want to request Good Luck Girl! too. Hmm, decisions decisions...

@terrence
Suggested Yuru Yuri manga and Otonari Complex~For light novels:
Omae o Otaku ni Shiteyaru kara, Ore o Riajuu ni Shitekure!
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko -

But ain't Yen press exclusive distributor for Square Enix?IDK, I just suggest based on what I want, not necessarily whether it can happen.
But, like, isn't Seven Seas publishing a Final Fantasy novel? That maybe a bit different than Square's manga property like this, but it just comes to mind that at least Square game properties end up with other companies.
Edit: I just found one that Yen Press may not have gotten from the same label (Young Gangen). Arakawa Under the Bridge went to Crunchyroll and Vertical.

My Requests this month:
- Arifureta Nichijou de Sekai Saikyou (Manga) - Volume 1 is finally set to come out in Japan April 25th. And I want an English copy. Especially since it isn't getting fan-scanlated.
- Gate: Where the JSDF Fought (Manga) - It's not looking good that Sekai Project will release anything beyond volume 2 considering all the trouble they had just doing that.
- Mushoku Tensei (LN) - Of course I want this. I'd love to read the actual LN series as it's something I consider a masterpiece.
- Gamer! (LN) - Always gotta request either this or Seitokai no Ichizon. Sekina Aoii has a real talent for twisting tropes in his series.

Do you think they're tracking our IP addresses / Emails to get rid of duplicate requests? Or would that be too much work?
I can't remember if I suggested White Album 2 in the past, but I'm going to suggest it again this month I think. Westerners need some legal means to read that full series in English, even if it's just the novelization.
-
@terrence It's google docs so I doubt it tracks IP addresses. Especially considering you'll end up filtering out multiple stuff from the same apartment block or other similar set-ups where a lot of people would be on the same IP address.
